I think it’s almost inevitable in this kind of increasing cold civil war climate, especially around election times. Too many goofy motherfukkers with guns and internet access. Not enough armed security for every politician.

Perhaps though I think it would almost have to be "allowed" with all the means of communication surveillance and data gathering. With that said something quasi random could definitely happen, particularly at the lower levels of politics. Even if it's an angry citizen at a small town hall meeting

I've been saying for awhile that I think it's a 50/50 chance of happening before the next presidential election.

100% chance a major act of violence (right wing mass shooter, bombing, etc) happens before then.

If people are plotting kidnappings of politicians and already believe violence is the only way to save themselves and "their" country by these non-existent fictitious threats that have them so scared and angry, how could you not see what's obviously around the corner?
