i did it as a kid....i did it along with playing soccer so my cardio was up to par to handle it in the beginning....
Man for all the times I clown on soccer yall dudes transition well into combat sports well. Usually have good cardio (like you said) and good reflexes. I know Sergio was highly into now is a boxing champ, I know there is a few others who escape my mine. Also in mma them b*stards who had a soccer background can throw some damn kicks lol.

Usually the foreign fighters might have a background in it.

Its all bout if u really love the sport thats why ppl quit cuz they not dedicated to it . First month i use to go to school with black eyes nd shyt lol good times .
im an active amateur at the moment. had 7 fights so far. had my first fight when i was 17. 18 now.

i took ass whippings for at least 3 months in sparring. i stanned james toney for years tho. so i had some defense and could see the shots coming. so i never got dropped or ko'd. :whew:

most people cant take the ass whippings and quit cus they ego tho.

Learn BJJ too so your sons are prepared for the ground fighting/positioning and attacks from the standing position, like chokes, from any angle.

i try not to get into any dumb exchanges friend. my defense is good. i dont get hit cleanly a lot at all.
:ohhh: is that how people go drunk. Do you have any gym wars or do you all focus on technique and safe sparring. Ko'ing sparring partners seems like a good way for friends to lose their minds.

getting punch drunk is completely about your genes. some of the greatest defensive boxers of all time are punch drunk like pernell whitaker. willie pep died of pugilistic dementia and he was one of the 3 greatest defensive boxers of all time. meanwhile someone like george chuvalo is completely fine after being ht by some of the hardest hitting heavyweights of all time.

it just depends on what genes you got. friend.
