I'm almost done with season 1 (currently watching the penultimate episode).....Great show, finished it in three days. Only thing wrong with it is the opening theme and obnoxious background music.

The musical score straight-up sounds like the musical score from "Arrow". So much so, I had to check if the Composer from "Arrow" composed the music on this show too.I thought Borgias (the one with Jeremy Irons) was quality. If he didn't like Borgias he probably won't like Medici. Might have to let breh sleep.
I'm gonna check that out now lol.
I need something similar to hold me down.
A bit of a warning it got canceled after 3 seasons. It was supposed to have 4. I thought it wrapped up nicely though.

Have you got into Starz's "DaVinci's Demons" yet?
For real, makes me real glad netflix has a "skip intro/recap" button now. I wonder if it's the same for season 2Nah, dude. When I finished Showtime's "The Borgias" last fall, I looked up what happened to The Borgias in real life. And a bunch of key stuff from real life was supposed to big storylines in season 4. According to Wikipedia:
The series cancellation prevented the death of Pope Alexander VI and the succession of Pope Julius II from being explored, and the downfall of Cesare Borgia.
So Showtime's "The Borgias" is definitely an incomplete show. On the other hand, I peeked at the plot descriptions for the last season of the international version of the show, "Borgia". And the storylines that were supposed in season 4 of Showtime's "The Borgias" were done on "Borgia". So I guess I'll eventually watch "Borgia" too.
I thought about getting into the Borgia but I preferred the actors in the Showtime version. Also it seems like there's less of Micheletto in that one.I thought about getting into the Borgia but I preferred the actors in the Showtime version. I tried to watch "Borgia" last fall & I quit after the first episode because I preferred the actors on the Showtime version too, so I feel you. I 'm currently watching "Medici" season 2 and it has a lot of the same characters & storylines as "DaVinci's Demons" season 1. I like it but.......
Actors on "DaVinci's Demons" >>>>>>>> Actors on "Medici" season 2. Man, both Lorenzo Medici's wife & mistress are finer on "DaVinci's Demons" and I can't stop thinking about the "DaVinci's Demons" versions everytime they appear onscreen on "Medici".
Guess I'm starting with DaVinci's Demons instead after I'm done with The Knick.I thought about getting into the Borgia but I preferred the actors in the Showtime version. Also it seems like there's less of Micheletto in that one.

Nah, gonna be a while till I do. I still haven't watched season 2.Nah, gonna be a while till I do. I still haven't watched season 2.
I'm currently watching episode 3 of "Medici" season 3. The show is stilling using storylines that were used on Starz's "DaVinci's Demons".
