The 49ers propensity to beat one sided teams ala Green Bay, New Orleans, Chicago etc. You guys are

21st in rush defense
18th in pass defense

Pretty pedestrian on the defensive side of the ball, and you're squeeking out wins again ho-hum teams every week.

Plus the 49ers defense elite, your offense is just very good. We shut down these pass happy offenses all the time (GB. NO. Detroit) you guys should be no different.

As a 49ers fan who is dead honest with the team, we have no fear of you. The Giants and Bucs are two teams that actually scare me as a fan, and the Packers pose a small threat, but the Falcons are nothing to worry about, we probably wont even see them because good chance they're one and done

Check the Giants defensive stats last season on the way to a title. Or how about the Saints in 08. Defensive stats are MISLEADING. But when you have a defense that can force turnovers like ours, you'll always have a chance

To be honest I don't see the Falcons or The Texans making too much noise in the playoffs. The Texans are the most complete team in the NFL right now, but I don't see Matt Schaub beating any of the elite QB's he'll inevitably have to face in a playoff situation

Why should I respect them?

They were the #1 seed and 14-2 when Green Bay came in and demolished them on their home turf.

This team really isn't much different than that one, Atlanta will continue to be dismissed until they prove to the NFL that they should be taken seriously.

Matt Ryan is getting progressively worse as the season goes on. They'll get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs but they'll get routed in Divisional Weekend at home.
