this site is pretty slow over the past year so i find myself in there more - but it's def WOAT. literally alternative facts in there, and what's worse, is people dap up posts with completely wrong information. but the booth is dying with the way music consumption is these days + a lot of old heads who won't give anything new a chance, politics have me apathetic and my portfolio :flabbynsick:, i only fukk with NBA heavy so there's a lot of sports discussion in the coli i don't care for re: NFL stuff, film room still cool
Why would politics have you apathetic rn? If feel like it’s a lot shyt at stake if people aren’t opposing republicans with their vote

That’s literally every cycle - oppose republicans while having a legislative branch that gets nothing done (a lot of moderate Dems don’t want to get anything done either, it’s not just Republican obstruction) and now a conservative court setting the country back. Biden was a space filler, a not trump vote. No, I’m not excited about him and am thoroughly deflated that he’s basically going to be the candidate again

“Not republicans” isn’t an inspirational political platform :heh: and its been THE platform or a very big part of the platform for 4 of the 5 national elections I’ve been able to vote in.

What? Going to vote doesn’t change my apathy. I cannot care to engage deeply in politics because neither side is serious about getting stuff done. Yes, the status quo is to drag yourself to the polls every 2-4 years to vote “not Republican” and pat yourself on the back. If that’s not a cycle that makes for apathy, I don’t know what else is

I feel TLR (The booth and even JBO as well) are more accurate representations of "black culture"/ urban america than say Higher Learning...
I go there to stay tapped in
:manny:

The way the senate demographics and gerrymandering are the most progressive president of all time would not get more passed than Biden

Dems and moderate Dems do want to get stuff done they just don’t have the votes in congress
