Anyone else have trouble switching from 60fps+ gaming back 30fps?

And something I never noticed until i started gaming on next gen consoles was that a lot of 30fps games don’t even keep a stable 30fps. A lot of these game drop into the low 20’s and teens when action picks up. I kind of noticed it before with games like control, division, just cause, like the game that were really bad. But even just regular games like final fantasy 7 remake don’t hold a steady 30.

I think it’s fukking with my eye sight or something because these games are starting to look like slideshows to me. For a long time pc players have been talking about 60fps and i guess i never knew what they meant cause when you youtube it doesn’t look different do to the video compression but after seeing it live on my tv playing spiderman and demons souls.....

I’m just looking at my switch in disgust right now.

The biggest difference for me is the responsiveness of 60 fps compared to 30. You really notice it especially in shooters.

I'd even argue that the early success of call of duty had alot to do with it being 60fps and feeling more responsive compared to other first person shooters at the time.

I play from 30~120fps.

120fps is the best obviously but 60~100 with G sync is super smooth.

30fps is basically relegated to console games since they can often have good frame pacing and a smooth, locked 30fps like in Spider-Man was perfectly fine imo.

Idk that demon souls 30fps mode looks crazy
I tried but i cant play Demon Souls at 30fps, the trade off in looks really isnt that noticable on the performance mode.

I only say this because Demon Souls really opened my eyes to the difference between 30fps and 60fps. Ill take the frames over a slight graphical upgrade any day

I been saying for a while graphics are fine where they are at, consoles should have caught up to 120fps, bare minimum 60. For the time being the graphical updates are gonna be minimal at best.

I agree its night and day between 30 and 60fps in Demon’s Souls. Even spider-man i realized after putting it in 60fps i couldn’t go back even with the ray tracing.

If Cyberpunk would run 30fps native 4k with raytracing, I would just do that over DLSS to get more frames, because the image looks to good, but having 15 fps ain't the wave

more is always better, but can't have it all, especially with newer games so you always have to choose the perfect balance that's what PC games have settings, but you can also go back to old games and get the best of both worlds, I was amazed playing arkham knight at 60fps for the first time, but shyt is even better at a locked 90fps in 4k

Been playing MCC on PC and just started UC4 on ps5 and I can feel the difference. I feel slow af in UC4 when it comes to movement as I'm wading through water when rolling and shooting.

Competitive game no. I’m a huge for honor fan and that shyt is like night and day at 60fps. And 120fps for shooters like COD and R6 is godly. But I switched cyberglitch to resolution mode and honestly don’t see the difference
