I don’t think Punk will ever get down with WWE again. I do agree that if he did, it’d be sooner than later, while Vince is still around (he’d be more open to doing business with Punk than Triple H I believe) and Heyman has his current position.

AEW is more possible and it’s likely they’ll attempt to come correct during All Out weekend since Punk was (seemingly) put off by the whole “offer via text message” thing.

The one thing that makes me believe Punk isn’t completely against returning to wrestling, is the idea of Punk not retiring from the biz the way he’d want to it thought he would.

- $12M is ludicrous for a guy like Punk. he's not a draw outside of diehard wrestling fans (and he was one of the worst drawing WWE champions of all time). the UFC only paid him $500,000 per fight and the PPV's that he took part in were some of the worst drawing PPV's each year for UFC. there's a reason why he co-hosted a shytty MTV contest show and is part-time commentating for amateur MMA fights in front of 500 people and not getting offers elsewhere for big money.

- Full creative control would never happen and shouldn't happen. Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar don't even have that and they draw money.

- 100% residuals? Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, and Rock never had that and why should they? WWE does have to see a return on their investment no business in their right mind would do that.

- limited dates would absolutely happen. that's realistic.

You say that as if the E's terrible booking isn't the reason he didn't draw well as champ. He was on fire, and they blew it. If they booked him more like Roman, his run could have been legendary.

Bret, Kurt, Hulk... all welcomed back with a hug. If Punk wanted to be back in the 'E, he would be, but this is still about his bruised ego. I was a Punk stan, but WWE flubbed him and then he totally destroyed his own image by loosing shoots.

AEW for some career rehab... WWE in a few years, hopefully while he's still got a good couple of runs in him.

no. you are "just making shyt up" or didn't do your homework. although yes getting paid $500,000 is great, but is it "superstar" great? absolutely not. CM Punk was never a big financial draw for the UFC.
