Anyone else find it funny how we're in the "woke" era yet IR dating has exploded in recent years?

My real question is this: why is having a healthy love of your own race and an understandable dislike and distrust of lipless people who shyt on us derogatorily labeled as being "woke" and dismissed?

shyt feels like the twilight zone. People seem desperate to avoid getting called out for eatin white people's asses. And I STILL don't get the appeal.

To me racial insularity and awareness of the truth of historical precedents against our race isn't about being "woke"...it's about having some gotdamn common sense.

Blk people literally trying to insult other blk people for shyt that is axiomatic in other cultures. Why the fukk we stay trying to chase after races of people that ain't chasing us? Hell woke SHOULD be a major positive.

After all, what's the alternative? A naive, yellow bellied, mind-raped coward who always fixing his/her yuck mouth to say some dumb shyt about their own race but as soon as permit Patty comes around, they too shook and shuck to flap them gums?

I wonder if white trolls are insidiously driving these sentiments as well from behind these screennames.

"Yeah! I'm a blk guy and fukk being woke, it's wack! They all---I want White wimminz!"

No? It's just me...okay.:stopitslime::mjlol:

The problem is that the term means different things to different people. The most vocal and visible representatives of "wokeness" in the mainstream are intersectional feminists, to the point where the term "woke" is virtually synonymous with intersectional feminism now. A black collectivist mindset is now seen as passé (you will be automatically dismissed as a "hotep" or "pick-me" whether or not your arguments are reasonable). Since many black people view this line of thinking as a net negative (and can see the obvious conclusion which is the destruction of our community), we reject it, and you end up with people with an aversion to anything "woke".

Nope and most black people have never been woke.

and arent 'woke' today either....

look here it is....

no true black renaissance is EVER happening until there's a black power structure behind it with FUNDS.....hashtags and memes will not cut it....

why? because its impossible to be truly pro-black when you going to work for a white man everyday....you'll never be free to truly say what you feel and mean....

we need black businesses to employ black people....until the majority of black people work for AND support black owned businesses....being woke is bullshyt

I guess the easiest way to avoid this illusory conundrum is to stop trying to package normal shyt into labels like "wokeness" and take people at face value.
People like labels because they can be used to easily dismiss points being made that have truth in them that come out of the mouths of disliked individuals.

It's not "woke" to love ur own community and think you look the best and want to see yourself reflected in your partner, community, and environment. That's just being normal and having a healthy psyche. It's pretty telling to me that other communities don't seem to have this intense moral quandary. Blks literally have been mindraped into believing it is necessary to associate with other races of people who literally tell us daily they don't want us around.

And then we package self-love as wokeness to justify our social conditioning towards love and acceptance of other races while having suspicion and disdain for our own.

lol it's a sad and sorry state of affairs.

I guess the issue is that we are so mentally raped that this IS a novel concept for many of us.
We are out here "exploring" the "concept" of buying from each other, building up our communities, etc. :picard:

Isn't this is stuff we had a handle on in previous generations? This is basic shyt that should be automatic, like you said.

Then when you co-opt the narrative, attach it to stuff like intersectional feminism, and tell people it's an all or nothing ideological package deal, people throw the baby out with the bathwater.

It's a really sad state of affairs, I agree.

Funny that you mention MLK because a prominent Black man who risked his acting career to support MLK verbally and financially had a White wife...his name is Harry Belafonte. So what are you really talking about at the end of the day? Black men more thorough then you will ever be were married to non-Black women so have a seat with the ignorance.

fukk outta here. fukk Harry belafonte and his crakkka bytch. If MLK wasn’t on such soft shoe shyt he woulda told that fool to take husbands money and white wife and fukk off. But didn’t MLK fukk with a white hoe too?

Rather pennies from my own than millions from a sellout.

Amen!

I ain’t gonna lie. There’s a small part that kinda hopes things get hot in this country and we absolutely HAVE to close ranks strictly along racial lines. When the miscegenators come we gotta make sure we turn they asses right back around and send em on their way. Let em go find out forreal how their best friend the crakkka is gonna do em.

I’m telling you those kinda sellouts have hurt us more than anything, including the crakkka. They look Black and sound Black but they ain’t, but because they look the part they’re able to speak with authority on Black issues and be taken seriously by white folks and Blacks who don’t know any better.

The very first test of any mufukka claiming to be for the race should be their choice of partner. Humanitarians ans sellouts need to be told very simply that they’re no longer one of us, and what real Black people do no longer concerns them. I’ve said that shyt in real life on a couple of occasions and on one the nikka tried to get mad. But he didn’t wanna get knocked out and drug in front of Becky so he made the wise decision to move along.

It became trendy to be woke on Twitter a few years ago.

The difference between black twitter activists and real activists is that real ones leave the house.

@Y2Dre am I right?
