And when they did the Cena/Rock year long buildup everybody was shytting on them for a lack of suspense and confirming the main event a year in advance

A year long build is not the norm for WM.... It it totally understandable to have a stance "this gonna drag out for a whole year?" over that feud...
yup this is perfect. The second half of the mania card should make casuals want to throw $60 down immediately to see what sort of fukkery is going to go down to end these blood feuds they’ve built up for months. Otherwise it’s just another shytty monthly ppv with some extra shine on it like the Saudi bullshyt. This is supposed to be the big storyline blowoff for all the storylines from the past year and then the “wrestling calendar” resets the next night on raw.
It hasn’t felt like that in YEARS.
There’s a reason the most successful boxers and mma fighters are outlandish and brash. They build up a fight and create a storyline going into the bout that makes even casual fans want to either see them kick ass or get their ass kicked. There’s no passion behind these Manias going on for the past decade or so.
They don't need to build up Wrestlemania anymore, at least while Vince is alive, since he is coasting on families coming to the Arena to watch it regardless of the matches.

That’s because they have too many fukking PPVs. Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber (or No Way Out) and WrestleMania was perfect and it flowed like a trilogy.

Since this is a throwaway Wrestlemania...they should have had Cesaro and Big E have a "Lex Lex Luger/Bret Hart" type moment from RR 1994.

And it’s funny you say this, because a long time ago, Vince had actually said something like “what makes wrestling great compared to the UFC is we can properly build our matches and feuds”. And fast forward years later, the UFC is the one that actually builds stuff and the WWE basically foretells the ending that want, or throws shyt together in three weeks.
Fast lane fukks it all up. you have the rumble then EC then you should have a solid 8 weeks to build WM matches. they built to Kofi's moment well, they built to DB's moment at WM 30 well. outside of that you had a couple spots and moments like Taker streak being broken, but the rest is like
