Religion was used to brainwash and motivate the attackers and deflect from the real motive. The terrorists in the middle east want to be left alone. It's not about religion, but their ability to hold power and continue to oppress their people. Suicide bombers aren't trying to convert you to Islam their trying to scare you away. They use religion as a convenient excuse but it's really not about who believes in what god.
Black muslims are equally odd. Arabs had a longer and more brutal slave trade than American Chatel slavery.

Individuals have questioned the existence of a god or god's even in the earliest accounts of human history. Maybe it's just that in the age of information the average joe doesn't have to have that type of grasp on deductive logic to say he doesn't exist.

not many atheist int his thread but that's some bullshyt. when you hear someone completely denounce science/evolution, it's offensive to people with common sense.
it really gets me cus these are always the same people to look towards medical science when there's a health scare. i mean, really, if you want to be a christian about it. they shouldn't go to the doctor, let god handle that tumor, disease, broken bone, etc.

It WAS done with religion, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been done without religion or that it's religions fault. Historically people have brainwashed others for a multitude of different reasons religion only being one of them.
