Shyt I used to feel bad for being alone for Thanksgiving, but people are either fake or annoying. I enjoy the solitude sometimes. Hell I might throw on that 3 stacks flute album and meditateIdunno why I feel sorry for ya’ll.. but I do

I'd warn not to use this mindset too often. Obviosuly, if who you're hanging out with's energy is draining or depressing, sure, but don't completely put yourself in isolation waiting for your money to be completely where you want it to be
Me, I'm tempted to stay in, I haven't done a good job reaching out to see what's going on, so maybe I'll do a last minute check tonight. But I also have a date on Friday, so I dunno how much socializing i wanna do.

supatightagreed…I had that mindset in my late 20s…thought I’d have the money I wanted in my early 30s…didn’t get it til my mid-40s but by that time I chased/ran off a lot of good friends/family who I viewed as “in the way” or “holding me back”…crazy shyt is the money came from a completely unrelated venture and at a time when I least expected…burned a lot of bridges for no reason…everyone’s different tho but it is definitely something to be weary of
Wish I were 
I’ve always loathed the holidays because my mother would act it was the biggest deal, stressed out, pissed off. Then the food would be finished and the day would come and she’d be happy but I was now the stressed out pissed off one. My sister now behaves like this and is confused why I don’t like the holidays.
Edit/ Just got into with my sister and walked out. I just can’t take the toxic bullshyt, like we’re just cooking food, it is not that fukking serious,, it’s not a bunch of people coming over. Why can’t we have fun on the holidays? I hate this high strung irritable garbage.

My family annoyed me so much yesterday regarding the stupid food that I’m not speaking to anyone today and I’m going to stay in my house, in my room all day tomorrowWish I were
One day of many days that hospitals dread because of the numerous suicides and suicide attempts.
I'm sure some of those come from being around family pretending everything is good, family trauma triggering, and domestic violence rising around the holidays

I mean, ain’t nobody killing themselves over dry turkey. If you have family issues you have those on a daily, not just one day
Other than the guy who got dumped, everybody in the thread seems ok with missing dinner
