Anyone carry knives daily or collect knives??

Upping thus thread. Ima bout to cop a couple of pieces for the crib and I'm looking fir a few ideas.

Check the iron or steel quality of the knife.

Check here for some info. As a first knife I think Spyderco has a good variety and is a good entry level knife depending on your need. I got razor blazes to shanks and the type steel matters. In that pic I posted you see the tip of one of my knives broke off because the steel was poor and knife was cheap

I'm looking to get 1 or 2 hatchet joints for the crib and a blade to carry one me. I used to carry during my youth but it became a PAIN in the ass here in NY because you go to so many venues with security/metal detectors and you flat out forget that you have the shyt on you. I swear ima just move to a state with relaxed gun laws and just have something small concealed on me.

But for the crib, I want one of them hatchets that I can grab/swing easily and deliver an effective blow.

For the crib I got some vietnam war era Amry issued machettes I picked up on ebay for 99 cents. They were beat up but I repaired them and put a nice edge on them and wrapped the handles with bicycle inner tubes whichs adds for a nice grip.

This a nice ass collection you got. I dig the variety. Can you give me a rundown of the names or these knockoffs? I think that last knife in the 3rd pic looks like a Spyderco paramilitary. Is that a Benchmade 2nd from the right in second pic? You ever thought of getting all black tactic knife?

I have one, a Recon 1. I like it but I must say the Voyager is pretty much the same knife for half the price, really the only thing is the coating and G10 vs plain and FRN.

Be careful with NYC they really don't like knives, their law is different from the rest of NY.

Damn, NYC laws got no love for the hawkbill blades, which are the only blades I like.

The Tasman is another good blade, but I would rather get an Emerson.
