There was talk a couple years ago that Tate Taylor was doing an updated series for IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT on Showtime but nothing ever came from it.
That was around the same time that the TWIN PEAKS reboot and the SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT TV series were first announced as being in the works and both of them have aired already.
