do people really have to shyt on one popular thing to try to show that they thing they like is better? Honeslty if you don't think GKMC is a good album you are fukking stupid and your opinion officialy means zero. Dreams and Nightmare is hella tight too, but way different. It's just loaded with bangers.

If you like GKMC you are simple as hell or a geek. Deal with it. :pacspit:

That Meek album is generic as hell

Listened to it a few times now and I have to agree... It's formula hip hop at its best and worse...You know exactly what you're getting and there are no surprises ..The highs are high the lows are low and the songs with radio ambition are painfully obvious...It's an album where about every other song has the potential to be skipped...The fact that it was released so closely to GKMC makes its mediocrity even more glaring...

I feel like it's gonna give the Memphis Bleak comparisons more credence..And I think Meek has the potential to be much better...The album has the labels hand prints all over it...All the way down to the cheesy cookie cutter video with Kirko...

But what are you expecting bul? Lol He's true to who he is... Like 99% of artist are. The bottom line is if your a fan of Meek to begin with, you love the album. Banger after banger, a focused album. If your not a fan or infatuated with Kendrick naturally you wont like the album or you'll over analyze it or pick it a part because you want it to be all about Kendrick so bad.

:krs: krs disagrees with that statement homie. that number is too inflated. but besides the point. both albums cater to their respective audiences. all that matters.

Meek Mill will never grow as an artist. Lol @ "He's just being true to who he is". You can still be true to yourself and express some level of creativity and art...

I agree with gator_king, this album isn't anything special. The funny thing is that Meek actually has a lot of potential...but if he keeps on being this mediocre it won't be too long before he really becomes Memphis Bleek 2.0.

Blah blah and blah. Yes its nice to be creative... That's all well and good but who's spitting stuff we never heard before? This is Hip Hop... The bottom line is is the music hot or not? Does it bang or not? Is your head nodding or are you getting sleepy? Do you feel what he saying or are you thinking wtf is he talking about?? Being different is creative means nothing if the music is wack or you not feeling the style etc

and when you mention Bleek as a comparison to Meek Mill you just lose credibility. It being released so close to Kendricks album doesnt mean sht to me. I can handle listening to two albums at once.... Shees- Were some of you kids alive in 96?! Cuz it sure doesnt seem like it

Just listened to GKMC with my girl, her first time listening to it straight though. and then I put on DAN and she said 'turn this garbage off'. That's why I love her.

That Meek Mill album was trash to me. Maybe you need a low IQ or something to appreciate the album

This is a really low standard to rating an album imo...But to each their own...To say something is "hot" or it "bangs" is kinds vague to me..

I don't have a problem listening to music that makes me think "wtf is he talking about?" sometimes because it forces me to dig deeper beyond the surface..I don't always have to have things spoon fed to me and spelled out in literal terms...

And I can listen to both types of music at the same time too.. I don't have a problem with it.. I have had GKMC and Trap God in constant rotation since the day they dropped and the albums are nothing alike creatively...The only reason we are having the Meek/Kendrick discussion is because the OP brought it up as a comparision..
