i dont even think the blades are dull, the dudes simply havent honed the craft of chopping flesh and bone. in the old days, executioners used to be trained and paid well to make clean chops because it is something that takes time to master, and it's hard to get bodies to practice on.

Like I said before. Mexico doesn't have a hobbesian government. The cartels are quickly filling in that power vacuum. Extortion (taxation) is the best hustle on earth. Better than drugs for sure. Extortion is built on fear and control.
You know I don't even think they do this to send a message anymore. I'm convinced these muthafukkers just really enjoy it because killing a bunch of easily replaceable foot soldiers isn't gonna make a rival just up and quit.

The moment there is any major Los Zetas activity on US soil there will Drones, Swat teams, Armored cars, snipers, helicopters and what not descending on any Los Zeta's base of Operations in the United States.
The cartels aren't stupid enough to involve the US government. They're a billion dollar organization. Why would they mess everything up by incurring the wrath of the United States.

That level of Violence is within all of us. If someone raped and killed your Daughter, mom or sister, you could easily do that to the perpetrator if that was legal.
When you're in the midst of a war, and The enemy is killing your friends, shooting out at you everyday, killing your family, and destroying your homeland, you will quickly see the enemy as not being human. You will want to kill them in the most merciless way possible.
