Ok first off if you're black or hispanic or remotely intimidating looking 
you can't do it yourself. Find yourself an innocent looking PAWG and have them do the lifting. Most young looking PAWGs constantly get away with shoplifting because noone suspects they'd do it.

Serious Question. I need new winter clothes and I do not want to spend a shyt ton of money.
My main options are Wal-Mart, Target and Cabela's. Just want a coat and shyt
this is what you have to do-
1. go to a mall you never go to and wont mind never returning to again.
2. go to macy's. or even jcpenney. even sears is better than wal mart or target. why? because mall stores usually have a number of exits around the store, vs wal mart/target etc having their exits towards the front. that means u gota walk all the way in, take shyt, then make ur way out
3. pretend you're looking for ur sizes and shyt, but dont look around or you'll look extra suspicious. then grab an armful of shyt and run the fukk out and never look back. dont take ur wallet or anything just somethin comfortable to run in. have ur friend/accomplice park like 25 yards away from the entrance, have him have the trunk or door open and gtfo
sizes dont usually matter... what you're trying to do is steal as much shyt as you can, then you sell whatever you doesnt fit you for cash, and then use the cash to buy what you need.
usually you'll come away with a good number of shyt to sell + 1-2 things that are your size.
security guards wont have time to react... u shouldnt be in the store more than 5 min. store employees wont chase u.

I was stuck in evansville, indiana for a night because the bus I was on was 10 minutes late, without a jacket and it was cold af. I put my bag somewhere in the bushes where no one would go and walked into Wal-mart like I was browsing. I had no money, just a ticket for my bus. I picked out an average jacket that was too small for me(on purpose), nothing cheap/nothing expensive. Took it to an employee asked if she could show me a jacket that fit. She got me one of the same kind that fit and I tried it on. She asked if I was going to buy it and I knew I looked suspicious, so I said nah I like it but I'm gonna see if there's a better one for around the same price.
She went back to the front of the dressing rooms, out of sight. I put it on, walked lowkey calm into the garden center, looked like I was grabbing a cell out of my pocket but actually I just ripped the tag off.
Got my bag, waited at the bus station that whole night. In the morning when the bus arrived I gave it to a homeless guy.

Naw..don't steal from there..there are too many cameras and it's not worth it..hit Macy's....line a shoe box with foil..and put it in a shoe store bag,,make sure the shoe store is by Macy's so it looks like you were shopping for shoes there first..have ya boy pick out a coat at Macy's and leave it in the dressing room for you..you grab some clothes and pretend to try them on.in the same dressing room ya boy was in...but you're stealing the coat ya boy left..wrap the foil around the sensor and put the coat in the shoe box...come out the dressing room with the same clothes you went in there with and put them back on the rack..walk out the store and hold ya breath..

While I gave it up years ago after I finally got caught and went to jail for 45 days (I was already on probation) and do not condone it, I will give you some tips so you don't get caught especially since your just doing it to get shyt you actually need. I was doing it at Nordstroms and Nemian Marcus for a couple years and got that shyt down to a science, even did it at clothing stores I worked at while on my shift.
Wear relatively baggy jeans and a coat/hoodie that covers your crotch and is a little baggy. Grab a couple things like jeans and a hoodie that will cover things up. Place them down over what your thinking about jacking, walk away a few steps like your looking at something else, then go back and pick up your stuff on secretly pick up what your gonna jack that was under it. If your doing jeans then unfold the pair ontop of the ones your gonna jack and when you fold em back up fold them over the pair underneath it. This makes it seem to the security cameras and/or employees like your bringing into the dressing room just the things on top that you have shown.
Once in the dressing room you have to take the sensors off, if they have them. They will always be placed on the stitching, take the senor from both sides and pull it down hard enough to rip just one of the stichtes, this will provide a hole big enough to slip the senor through and will create a very tiny hole you can sew later. Place the senor in a pocket of an item your not gonna take. Fold up the item(s) your gonna take and place it in your crotch so that most of the item is hanging behind your nuts but get a thinned out part of it it put up by your waist/belly button and use your belt to hold it in place. If you do it right there will be no noticeable buldge, trust me I once bought something at the register with a $400 Marc Jacobs hoodie in my pants, but just incase have your hoodie/jacket over your crotch to conceal any possible buldge.
It is best to come out of the dressing room with the item your brought in for all to see and put them back, but if your nervous leave them in there, come out of the dressing room acting like your on your phone and talk like your in a hurry and quickly walk out to your car which is parked as close as possible, be friendly and smile to any employees if they look at you.
I did it because I was against the establishment and big business for charging so much fukking money for clothes, and if I can help out a struggling man than I got no problem with you fukking over big corporations

...if you need to ask about how to boost. it's just like anything else. don't get caught. and a lot of places have a policy where they don't even charge you if the merch is under a certain price. i don't feel bad about sharing this knowledge because it's posted in the front of many of the stores you mentioned in the OP.

If they have changing rooms get a bunch of cloths get the coat you want stack it underneath the pile of cloths make sure its not seen..bring a pair of saftey scissors and cut/rip off the plastic crap while you are in the changing room and wear the coat underneath the coat you came in wearing
