My nicca Mullen’s out here looking like the 2nd best QB on the team
speaking of groups where we're underwhelming,
1. safeties. not only are they made of glass, I think tartt and ward are subpar even when playing. tartt cant cover, takes poor angles, and pretty much has athleticism and occasional hit stick. ward even when hes on the field never amazed me at FS
2. interior oline. with richburg's knee issues and garnett's injury, our best player is laken tomlinson at LG and a newcomer ben garland at center (a guy who was in a rotation with guys like zane beadles and brandon fusco on the falcons). if richburg can't play, this honestly is the #1 area of concern. we should know what its like having a good center (once jonathan goodwin left us our center position has been crap), and so should kyle (alex mack was on the SB-reaching falcons)
3. CBs. if sherman and verrett can start 12 games or so, it should be fine, the question is health and depth
4. LBs. again, if kwon can start 12 games, it should be ok, as Fred Warner can be a pro bowler down the road and SAM will likely get taken out in favor of pass rushers or nickel guys on obvious passing situations
nah, hes been terrible last year and hes doing it again in training camp, taking horrendous angles and letting people go for big gains.1. I'm not super concerned at safety, I agree about Tartt in coverage, he's bad but he's an elite athlete. Ward I think is solid when healthy (but since he's never healthy). I liked Exum when he did play and personally, I'd be ok if he starts over over Ward and Adrian Colbert has what it takes to be solid free safety. Not picking up Tre Boston though is a HUGE sticking point though,
2. The interior O-Line is concerning, I don't like our depth at center either and this should have been a position we should have taken more seriously in the past 2 drafts. I'm cool with Laken Tomlinson as starter (he's serviceable) but again, there were solid guards in free agency we could have brought in but didn't. An UDFA is going to have to take the leap. Joshua Garnett is peanut brittle status. If I am a practice squad guard, I'd be going nuts in practice, the RG spot is pretty wide open.
3. Agreed but don't give up on Witherspoon yet, he has elite size and can be coached up.
4. I think the Sam is interesting, I would keep an an eye on rookie Dre Greenlaw and Aziz al Shair. I think Mark Nzeocha will start, he is as good a run stopper as Eli Harold was and not a liability in coverage. Its tough to say, in Saleh defenses, the SAM has ALOT of responsibility.

Man the 49ers are retards. Sign an injury prone player and be surprised that he's injured. fukk Bust Bosa
Bruh you don't draft players that are injury prone that high. That's football 101. I don't know why people think he was the best player. Williams from Bama is who we should have got.Still the best defensive player in this draft. If he gets hurt in a regular season that's another thing but he wasn't going to play much preseason football anyway.

49ers going to keep to the taking Ls. Isn't Verett hurt too
I would not have been against getting Williams either but I think that would have meant dealing Armstead or Thomas and we still would have needed another pass rusher.
Armstead is another player that barely plays. Thomas is just plain ass.
The 49ers lawst by letting Scottie go. It's been a pure shyt show with talent ever since. I would let dude get drunk whenever he wanted to if he kept bring in top talent. Now dude just made the Browns super bowl contenders.
Lynch is the definition of white privilege. Dude has no business being a GM. They really have him this high profile job with zero experience.I think this season will tell whether this Shanalynch relationship is working. For as many picks as Lynch has bungled, he's made a lot of solid ones too. Biggest gripe the past two years is neglecting the guard and not adding veteran help at safety being ok with what we have. We're good enough to win the division, imo at least on paper even with our flaws.

I'm sorry which is his great draft picks? It was a dumb hire.
Yea I would have preferred Louis Riddikk myself but I will say so far.
2017 Draft
George Kittle
Trent Taylor- Average. Nothing special
Adrian Colbert- Average. Fell off last year
2018 Draft
Mike McGlinchey
Dante Pettis Nothing special as of yet. Only one year. Too early to tell
Fred Warner Played good last year, still too early to tell
Richie James Good value for where drafted
Marcell Harris and Tarvarius Moore are making the roster most likely. Unknown. Too early too tell
Kentavious Street could be a sleeper. Another fukking player coming off major injury. Unknown. Based on history a dumb pick.
Solid Draft
2019
Joey Bosa Calling it now. Injury prone bust
Deebo Samuel Unknown
Jalen Hurd Unknown
Mitch the Punter Probably the most retarded pick he did besides Thomas. WAY TOO HIGH. Probably could
will would have been around in the 6th or 7th round.Or possibly UFA
and I think Kaden Smith and Dre Greenlaw make the roster. Unknown
Long story short the only real knock on Lynch objectively speaking is bungling the 2017 draft and choosing Solomon Thomas over the likes of Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. But if we win the division or at least finish off in the Wild Card hunt, that stuff is going to the wayside.
