I mean, it was 2nd or 3rd stringer olinemen. Im not going to say dominating scrub double teams with the #1 pass rusher prospect is expected, but its certainly not that surprising.

him dominating Staley first day of practice is more worth of a mention imo. still, Staley held his own next day as he adjusted.

sounds like Bosa is dominating out there even without DeFo and Ford

I guess they thought Process was

Weapons Protection

Being that we have 4 RBs that should go off and the Defense that’s more stacked this year. I guess the plan was “playmakers/WEAPONS”

i think the reason they didnt go after an Oline is they gonna cash DeFo out on a big 1st year like they did Jimmy G and have every other year be a modest salary. They definitely need to hit on a good inside lineman next draft. Theres no excuses

speaking of groups where we're underwhelming,

1. safeties. not only are they made of glass, I think tartt and ward are subpar even when playing. tartt cant cover, takes poor angles, and pretty much has athleticism and occasional hit stick. ward even when hes on the field never amazed me at FS

2. interior oline. with richburg's knee issues and garnett's injury, our best player is laken tomlinson at LG and a newcomer ben garland at center (a guy who was in a rotation with guys like zane beadles and brandon fusco on the falcons). if richburg can't play, this honestly is the #1 area of concern. we should know what its like having a good center (once jonathan goodwin left us our center position has been crap), and so should kyle (alex mack was on the SB-reaching falcons)

3. CBs. if sherman and verrett can start 12 games or so, it should be fine, the question is health and depth

4. LBs. again, if kwon can start 12 games, it should be ok, as Fred Warner can be a pro bowler down the road and SAM will likely get taken out in favor of pass rushers or nickel guys on obvious passing situations

Safety is fine, plenty of bodies and options. Harris is my fav player from that group and I have high hopes for Moore. The interior line is just trash, u don’t even have options with that group. Better pray for richburg because they literally have nobody behind him

bodies doesnt mean good play tho. with pass rush taking a huge step forward this year, both safeties and corners will have an easier time, that much is true.

we're looking at tomlinson-garland-person interior line with person being backup center and garnett backup guard, if richburg doesnt play. looks sucky, but at least they started a bunch of NFL games. cant really say that for anyone at safety besides tartt. ward is never on the field and exum is mediocre. the other guys are all unknowns
