Its that fastfood type steak they used in those type of dishes, not something you grill an eat with a baked potato.

Yup .. that’s what I’ve heard ...it’s best chopped and placed into something else ...

Folks dissing it don’t even know (as you said), their little hood cheesteak spot, Chinese spot, Mexican food cart (cheap a$$ carne asada) are using similar low grade steak... just likely under different branding from a wholesale supplier ... probably the same factory too.

Shyt is a finnesse I seen signs outside never seen not one damn 1$ rib eye, they dont even have a section for meats outside of coldcuts really(some of which cost more than alleged dollar rib eye steak)........

I tried dollar tree frozen salmon and other fish...its aight but its a clear difference between fresh and frozen fish. But sometimes u just be on a budget or trying to cut back on spending.

But i would think those $1 steaks are for cutting up to mix in a Chinese food type dish or pasta or some cut up steak and gravy type dish, or a thin steak with eggs for breakfast. I wouldn't grill those cuz they too thin. I also heard they freezer burn really quick.

And with dollar tree, love that everything is a $1. But they have a gimmick and fool some cuz u don't always get best value. Some shyt is a smaller size to get to the price point, especially if u buy their brand name shyt. Look at the sizes of their products. Look at those small Gain and Tide detergents and fabric softeners. I always price compare with stores so I caught on. But that $1 price point helps with budgeting.
