The Black Cloud was the Man In Black

Which still left a lot of unanswered questions. He was like the islands "security" or some shyt that killed people he didn't think was worthy of redeemable or something. Idk...

And he could also take over the bodies of dead people for whatever reason. They just made the shyt up as they went along.

But what's funny is the whole time they promised that they knew exactly how the series would end. I think the writers strike back then fukked them up cuz originally they were set for 5 seasons.

Same. Just the thought of rewatching it pisses me off cuz I know the ending won't be satisfying.
That's why I'll probably never watch the show again. Too much time wasted to land on "some people got off the island, some didn't, eventually everyone died at some point and they're all in purgatory waiting to meet each other again and go to heaven..." or whatever the hell their explanation was. All that interesting island shyt? Who cares! Jack and Kate are really soulmates! The island never mattered, what they did together on it was the important thing. :smh:

I think that just added to my frustration with this show. Watching week to week and following all the discussions, the hour recap shows on ABC with the showrunner interviews, the EW articles and all that and listening to these dudes swear they had a good explanation for all this, and then that was the ending we got. Makes me wonder if I'd have liked it more if I just binged the whole thing from 1-6 and didn't get caught up in all the hype that surrounded it for years.

The writers strike definitely fukked them up, there's Carlton Cuse on the picket line. I don't think they got around to showing us what the island is

up till now, I haven't watched the last 2 seasons. Don't think I'll ever will though because I last watched it 10-12 year ago. :sadcam: I'm so far gone from it.
only names I remember are Sawyer, Jack , Walker and his pops, Indian dude, Kate....damn, it's all coming back. Think I should just take the week off and just binge watch everything. :wow:

Same. I was on forums , reading the lostpedia page, coming up with theories and everything. The end of season 3 or 4 when they had to "move the island" with the Frozen donkey wheel, I was like wtf? They never gave an explanation to who created it, how did it end up there, why was it Frozen, who discovered what it was capable of, where exactly does it move, etc etc.

We were just left with all these questions, and some answers that we did get were cheap AF. The whispers were "the people who got stuck/left behind" aka ghosts. But they carried that mystery all the way until season 6 as if it was some major plot point or some shyt. Man just rethinking about all this got me tight.

If so, how did you feel about the ending?
I made my peace with it. Most shows that reach the status of LOST will have disappointing endings. The ending to LOST was about as good as one could expect given the fact that they were making it all up as they went along. Don't fool yourself. The writers said they had a plan. There was no plan. They probably all sat in a room and free-flowed ideas and took all the ones they liked and incorporated them into the show with no idea where it was going.

They DID answer some of those questions you have. They just did it in such a half assed manner that it was almost insulting to the audience. Like the shyt was just thrown out there, and it was just fukking DUMB.

Nah fukk all that.

Hyping up Walt just to not reveal ANYTHING about his powers or what made him special?

Having Michael go through all that shyt and betraying the whole crew to save Walt just to LEAVE Walt and go BACK to the island to get his ass beat a few times and die senselessly? NEVER seeing or reconciling with Walt ever again? That was TRULY the unforgivable portion of this show for me. They SHAFTED the black character.

Having Sun AND Jin die and their child left an orphan?

The ham fisted way they incorporated Jacob and the Man In Black’s backstory and feud.

The Kate/Jack/Sawyer love triangle just being dropped after spending FIVE SEASONS playing that shyt up as a big thing.

NEVER explaining the “rules” or what the fukk the importance of following the guidelines was.

Don’t even get me started on the Flash Sideways shyt from season 6 being Purgatory. That shyt was just groan inducing.
