That's why I'll probably never watch the show again. Too much time wasted to land on "some people got off the island, some didn't, eventually everyone died at some point and they're all in purgatory waiting to meet each other again and go to heaven..." or whatever the hell their explanation was. All that interesting island shyt? Who cares! Jack and Kate are really soulmates! The island never mattered, what they did together on it was the important thing.
I think that just added to my frustration with this show. Watching week to week and following all the discussions, the hour recap shows on ABC with the showrunner interviews, the EW articles and all that and listening to these dudes swear they had a good explanation for all this, and then that was the ending we got. Makes me wonder if I'd have liked it more if I just binged the whole thing from 1-6 and didn't get caught up in all the hype that surrounded it for years.
The writers strike definitely fukked them up, there's Carlton Cuse on the picket line. I don't think they got around to showing us what the island is
