Pretty sure this just happened to my mom. My mom had an interview and she said they offered her the job after the interview, and to expect the offer in her email. She never got an email and they stopped communicating with her

Similar happened to me.
Couple of days after the interview. They told me they had to pull the job offer/position for budgeting reasons, but two weeks later they called me saying it was available and offered it to me.
This happened to my friend and he started crying…he told people he had a job lined up…blew hela $ in vegas and the next week they pulled it bcuz his past

Nah, but I withdrew once after accepting. They sent me someone else's paycheck before I started and I knew it was gonna be a headache.
I’m in talent acquisition and we do this more often than people think. If you over value yourself and we have 2 or more similar candidates for non unique skill sets we will move from one to the other until someone accepts the budget we want to stay in.

Yea, I’ve been verbally offered jobs but unless I have a written offer it doesn’t mean anything. Has a situation where you had 2 offers. One verbal, one written. Verbal was more money but I had to roll with a written offer. At that point I knew they contacted all my references and was just the better pick.
My boy went through some shyt and I’m guessing there’s something in the system on him but he had an offer from a financial institution rescinded. That shyt hurts. He hasn’t been able to find anything for years now.

We flew this girl in from across the country straight out of college, took her out and they let the us vet her. She passed all our tests and have the green light. Excellent candidate great personality. She was just nervous about moving all the way across the country.
our management rescinded the offer the day after she flew back home because she didn’t commit fast enough and they thought it showed she had too much ego. So glad I don’t work for them mfs anymore and they struggling.
