Anybody Ever Had A Job Offer Rescinded??

Happened to me because I accepted a pretrial deal instead of going to trial so the Dade County Public Schools took it as an admission of guilt even though the charges were dismissed. I received an email, though.

Yes. They jumped to conclusions about the salary range I wanted and offered me 15K less than I wanted. Which meant I would get zero raise out of moving.

And the new job was literally 3x as much stress, effort and responsibility. Coworkers and environment was way more stressful.

Why the hell would I go for that? We argued and they rescinded the offer

Same thing happened to me a couple years back.

Offer was way lower than what I was currently getting paid and the work environment looked like a mess. Their pitch to accept the offer was so God damn bad lol

oh yeah…long story short—head of HR of the district I was teaching in convinced the principal of a school I was trying to transfer to not to hire me after she already did…principal told me the next day after literally saying I was hired that a position was never even on the table…so I asked her then what was the interview for?? she fell short of saying the interview never took place but insisted there were no open positions that needed to be filled…the HR chic had a gripe with me transferring schools for whatever reason…but I needed to in order to fulfill contractual obligations…anyway I couldn’t since the transfer got denied and was terminated…I could’ve fought it and tried to be reinstated but I didn’t want to be there if that’s how they got down…ended up working out for the best…went to a new district where the pay was much higher and the district overall had a higher student success rate

I saw the principal at the mall with her husband a few months later…she couldn’t even look me in the eye

saw the HR chic in the office weeks prior to that when I went to file a complaint against her (unsuccessfully)…I was leaving/waiting for the elevator to come when by happenstance she shows up (she knew who I was but didn’t know why I had been there)…bytch looks me dead in my face and says “hi” all cheerfully like she wasn’t just recently responsible for fukking up my livelihood then just stands there waiting for the elevator…man the look I gave that bytch INSTANTLY knocked that smug ass fukking look off her face…when the elevator came she made sure not to get on it…I absolutely wouldn’t have done anything to her but she didn’t need to know that lmao…I’m just glad that for a split second she understood that maybe you shouldn’t push ppl too far

I got a crazy one.

I actually GOT the job. They made me fill out the paperwork and everything.

Then they just kept telling me bullshyt. Like you need to do email this to that person and shyt like that.

Eventually they straight up ghosted me.

I kept trying to contact them and they gave me the run around until I found out from someone I knew that the person who hired me got fired.....

I just said fukk it and looked for a different job after that.

One of my first jobs outta college did a hair test. It was crazy because after months of rejections and the bills piling up I finally get a yes and then they're like you just gotta pass a drug test. I was like bet that's easy, then they say it's a hair test.
