I think you'd like it. Easily one of the best solo Wu albums in that period post Wu Forever and prior Supreme Clientele. Some REAL gems on there. I still wish these beats went to Deck instead of Cappa tho. Woulda been a classic album.
Uncontrolled Substance was still crack though even with the beats on that album. INS been underrated.

beat wise, that album is nice, but it was the beginning of the end for cappadonna lyrically.

there's simply too much nonsensical content on there for me to take dude seriously going foward as a rapper.

this is coming from someone who bought this album the first day it dropped in the store.
4 out 5
Cappadonna rambles on about nothing for the whole album, so it was disappointing in that aspect. But some of the best production in the Wu solo catalogue and guest appearances make it a dope album
Yea Cappa was on ghat Ghostface esque "rap about nothing but make it sound good" tip. Thats why "The Pillage" is an underrated classic. The fact all of the wu members have varying qualities of solo releases is something to behold in and of itself.

Cappa's rambling was especially disappointing considering his All-Star performances on Cuban Linx and Ironman. If Cap performed like that on the Pillage it would definitely be considered a classic Hip Hop album. Yea, he used a similar stream of conscious rap style like Ghost but Ghost did it soooo much better. With that said, Cap still had some stand out verses on the Pillage, like Slang Editorial and Oh Donna (second verse especially).
