4 out 5
Cappadonna rambles on about nothing for the whole album, so it was disappointing in that aspect. But some of the best production in the Wu solo catalogue and guest appearances make it a dope album
People say he rambling but so was ghost on supreme. I think the pillage is low key classic to me. I like every song on there and the beats are ridic. Id say as far as the post forever wave, the pillage is a top 3 wu album with supreme bobby digi and thr w all being up there as well

I loved the shyt out of this album. It's a personal classic for me. I'd give it a 4.5/5 from a regular listener's perspective.

Hell, this album even had the gulliest, grimiest karate movie samples.

"....we do what we want here! Killing OR raping!!!!"

everybody went plat from 97 until the mid 00's...gold was damn near considered a failure at that time.

nah. it was a rough year for east coast hip hop. the south was running shyt. Only folks selling was the high high profile people. Hov, DMX, Lauryn Hill, Beastie Boys. lol

Plus it's Cap. Hell, I think he outsold Bobby that year. lol

if you wasnt going plat in 98 you werent really shyt breh thats just how it was.
There were more albums going plat than other eras, but it was hardly a case of everybody that dropped an album going platinum and gold. Of all the rap albums that came out in 98...at least 100 maybe?...there probably weren't even more than a dozen or so that went plat
