Dude that wrote the book probably had to kill someone with his bare hands and had a kid die of malnutrition in Iceland and Russ was just ready to follow this book he only read half of.Yeah, them breaking down at the apology session was . The thing about the show is that it is low-key with its humor a lot, but does seem to take a look at marriage in a different way than most shows. Personally I find it depressing at times . Russ' wife is always getting on his case and you want to root for him, but honestly he didn't even finish reading that book he was going on about and she would still be taking care of the kids in Costa Rica .
Jenny Slate was looking throughout this episode though.
The "sad" thing is, none of their problems really got solved.
They just found something else to distract them.
Staying in the house while "looking" at houses in Costa Rica is only going to keep Russ "happy" for so long.
A baby isn't gonna fix Jenny Slate and her husband's problems, she doesn't even take care of the first one. How is that gonna stop her from doing coke, flirting with other guys and being bored with a man she's only with because she has daddy issues?
