you think a 65 inch or even fukkin 100 inch TV can compete with the full cinema experience? even if you could get perfect blu ray 3D rips 2 days after release that can't compete with a screen the size of a building and a 20 speaker sound system loud as fukk.
we in a diff world now....shyt comes out in theaters on friday and is available on ALL your devices by monday...stream to your big screen whatever....choose the people that you want to be around to experience it with....
i mean...nothing should fukk with the theater goin experience...but if you put crack in front of someone long enough they gonna become an addict....

It's made to get you out of the house , have a nice time and like many said , it's the theatre experience. You can stream all the tv shows you want but watching a movie Imax style is pure crack.
I've yet to see a movie in a "true" Imax theater.

outside of award season ( December and January) almost all downloadable movies still in theatres are shytball cam versions for a few months

i got a spot near me with seats like that. a old school AMC theatre made some power moves to retaliate against the regal's coming thru taking over.That's not particularly true. some movies arent available until a certain time like a week later. Besides your not just going to the movies to see the movie, your going for the experience. There's a loews off of horrace harding expressway, fukking beautiful they redesigned the floor plan with leather reclining chairs for all the customers and free refills... it's still expensive to eat there but they tricked it out.
I have also heard of the place in jersey that serves you dinner while your watching the move like it has a table in the middle of the seats. i was like WTF???
and the prices are about the same. i'm more than happy to make an extra 20 minute drive into the suberbs for that shyt

we have movie theaters here that serves you food food while eating. They start coming around before the previews and during the previews and you will have your food within 30 minutes of the movie starting. They (waitresses) come around throughout the movie asking if you want anything else and then at a certain point they bring you their check

i barely ever go to movies.... unless its free tickets, a family thing or takin my chick out i dont do it... when i go to a movie i go to see the movie & could care less about the experience unless im takin my kids.... i bring in my own food & candy most the time & i only buy a pop to spike it... i wait til flicks are on disc or the net to watch in most cases....

we should ban all babies and kids from the movies. they can never stop crying on some bullshyt if i owned a movie theatre it be no babies allowed... period...
I rarely go myself. Just saw transformers Saturday. Last theatre movie I saw was the last fast and furious. It gets too expensive. I might consider going if something good is out.
