anybody else tempted NOT to go to the movie theaters anymore?

we in a diff world now....shyt comes out in theaters on friday and is available on ALL your devices by monday...stream to your big screen whatever....choose the people that you want to be around to experience it with....

i mean...nothing should fukk with the theater goin experience...but if you put crack in front of someone long enough they gonna become an addict....

Yep...

I only go to see a movie in theater for three reasons...

1) My ex loved going to see movies, that was her thing, so went a lot... but that's not a reason any longer.
2) I want to see a big action movie that can only be experienced in 3D or in theater period (ex. 300 or Batman or Avengers, whatever)
3) I'm going to see a movie where there's gonna be a lot of other Black people in the audience so I'll be super entertained by the comedy both on the screen and off (ex. Ride Along)

That's not particularly true. some movies arent available until a certain time like a week later. Besides your not just going to the movies to see the movie, your going for the experience. There's a loews off of horrace harding expressway, fukking beautiful they redesigned the floor plan with leather reclining chairs for all the customers and free refills... it's still expensive to eat there but they tricked it out.

I have also heard of the place in jersey that serves you dinner while your watching the move like it has a table in the middle of the seats. i was like WTF???

Now a days though with the current televisions that are out now, theaters can't compare. It's hard to compare to a 65 inch top of the line 3-D TV to a slandered theater screen. Unless it's IMAX or RPX is it really worth going to the theaters ?

i rarely go at all, i dont believe in wasting money but i make exceptions for the dark knights etc

i hear transformers is 245 minutes, i cant sit through that after being suckered by the second transformers movie

If there was a way to get a full blown HD movie on release streamed directly into your tv with no lag with full 7.1 surround id be all for it. time warner got this thing where they have a same day release ppv. but i've never tried it. if film companies started giving us more options id be happier.
