I went for the first time in 06 and when I left I was determined to learn the language after about 2-3 months of listening to Pimsleur Portuguese I was able to keep a conversation going with the chick I had met in Rio during that vacation. Its been a wrap since. Ive been there every year since 06 except for 08 and this year.

Some of their portuguese is very fluent and fluid. Unless Google made some improvements lately, I don't think so.
My Portuguese is terrible, but I've had luck in that whenever I went to Brassssillllll I'd meet someone who spoke english and would help me with my Portuguese. Im still learning, I can hold convos and if someone is speaking it near me I can understand what they're saying as long as they don't go too fast. I don't know how to type out accents over the letters either, writting is much harder to me.

Google also adds accents and I admitted to not being able to write well but I can speak and understand very well

I'm making you fine gentlemen honorary Brazilians.
I'd live there if I was single, just work at a resort as a personal trainer, it has it's problems but it's just a beautiful country with some friendly ass people. Next time I go I need to see this -
