I watch Scandal because I like the show. I think it has good writing and a cast of good actors. I don't want to date outside of my race, don't care who does and I don't have dreams of sleeping with white men either. I don't think much about white people at all in fact. I don't wear weaves and I'm not a feminist either.

Now this lady clearly has had a bad experience with black men so perhaps she feels justified feeling the way she does. If she feels white men will make her happy then she should go for it but the truth is guys of all races can be @ssholes.

We got no issues with you Rawtid, the ones get got a issue with is the wenches and LSA c00ns. Those who live through the show. You just a fan like I am a fan of the Wire.

Sometimes brothas go in on you about this and I don't know why but I know the ones like @MurderSheWrote are clowns.

Obviously, this woman is crazy and hideous but... why do you guys hate Scandal so much? I admit, sometimes I have to fast forward the sex scenes cuz they're a little awks to me. But why can't we like it because there is a badass black woman who is brilliant and powerful (but also flawed and makes mistakes like any other human being)? How often to we get to see a black women, respected in politics, making big decisions, and having a freaking sweet wardrobe?

Ideally, she would have a delicious chocolate man who we could lust after as well, but she doesn't. Are we not allowed to like the show despite that?

It's horribly written and very rushed, and I can't stand Kerry Washington's weird eye twitches. She belongs on General Hospital. Plus, every interesting story line especially involving Huck (or barely Harrison) are thrown in the back burner because closet sex between Fitz and Olivia is more important.

Columbus Short is single as well apparently I would throw bytches in fires just to get a whiff of that. No shame.

I respectfully disagree....I think you're just rationalizing because you're sympathetic to the message.

If you dont believe that the cartoon strip at the top isnt an attempt to dehumanize black women, then you're not paying attention. The message is quite obvious: Black women are too backwards, ignorant, immature, etc to appreciate a high quality man who wants their attention, but of course a white woman is. You also have the same exaggerated facial features used in the bottom strip for good measure. Of course the top strip isnt quite as overtly racist, but the same "blacks are subhumans" is the govering idea for both. The top strip was just cunning enough to pit genders against each other for solidarity to a racist message (just like whites are pitted against blacks)

Basically, doing exactly the same thing they accuse black scandal fans of doing
