^^^The images are nothing alike. You deserve a slap to the mouth just for posting that. The illustration of the black females depict and ridicules a certain mindset that dome black women have. It doesn't dehumanize or paint all black women/people as inferior. The disgusting image that you posted dehumanizes all balls painting us as inferior.

I don't really like threads like these, or take them seriously. Based on nothing but generalisations...

Looks like one of those racist cartoon strips like this:

nig_image51.jpg

....both are powered by roughly the same source of ignorance.

I usually fukks with your posts, but this just wrong. :snoop:

The message in the first one is that you don't have to put up a front or have an attitude in order to be "strong" or "independent" It's dehumanizing at alll.

The second one however, is pretty much degrading. The message is well...black people are animals.

breh it is somewhat the same... look at how the black women are drawn.
Plus, it's obviously an anti-black woman drawing.

If you can look at those 2 images and think that they're the same then that says something about you.

I said somewhat the same :comeon: I know the second is worse.
But the first is obviously anti-black women propaganda type shyt, let's be real.
And don't even give me that "it's just some criticism"

I respectfully disagree....I think you're just rationalizing because you're sympathetic to the message.

If you dont believe that the cartoon strip at the top isnt an attempt to dehumanize black women, then you're not paying attention. The message is quite obvious: Black women are too backwards, ignorant, immature, etc to appreciate a high quality man who wants their attention, but of course a white woman is. You also have the same exaggerated facial features used in the bottom strip for good measure. Of course the top strip isnt quite as overtly racist, but the same "blacks are subhumans" is the govering idea for both. The top strip was just cunning enough to pit genders against each other for solidarity to a racist message (just like whites are pitted against blacks)

And Im sure if the strip were the gender inverse, with black males depicted as thugs, hoodlums, etc, and black women's only recourse is to be saved by a white men, your opinion would hold and you would defend the strip just the same. Im sure of this.

Regardless of how you feel about the image of the black women, the image is not meant to dehumanize or deem an entire race or gender as inferior. It's an illustration that makes the point that being strong doesnt mean having a shytty hateful atttitude. If you don't agree with the message that's one thing but don't misrepresent the message simply because you don't agree. You're being intellectually dishonest to push your own bullshyt agenda.

MOCO awl day
Obviously, this woman is crazy and hideous but... why do you guys hate Scandal so much? I admit, sometimes I have to fast forward the sex scenes cuz they're a little awks to me. But why can't we like it because there is a badass black woman who is brilliant and powerful (but also flawed and makes mistakes like any other human being)? How often to we get to see a black women, respected in politics, making big decisions, and having a freaking sweet wardrobe?

Plus, Columbus Short is :noah:!!!
Ideally, she would have a delicious chocolate man who we could lust after as well, but she doesn't. Are we not allowed to like the show despite that?
