I'm 26 & just enrolled back in school for an accounting degree. I'm nervous af :sadcam:
I went back at 24. Eventually ended up becoming an accountant as well. Ultimately got two bachelor's degrees (Accounting & Marketing) an MBA (Healthcare Management) and I'm a CPA. Going back to school is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I'm actually a controller at my job now and in line to become the next CFO, all things willing.

The Truth
Multiple times

You 26 not dead nikka.. you probably closer to most people there age-wise these days

I will say that later I was doing mines mostly online though. Unless you living in the dorms or shyt, it’s normal. I was taking night classes and CLEPing shyt all through military years though.

Havent finished my CS bachelors because I havent really needed it. The plan is to finish, get into a remote field, then go back to college for a different degree. Maybe back in music, theology, Quantum shyt, etc. thats one avenue

Nah, but I almost did last year. I was literally 2 clicks away from submitting my info to the registrar or whatever it is. But I backed out once I realized I still have to pay off my existing student loan. Have to pay it off before I do anything else.

I got a few degrees later in life.

It wasn’t easy but it was absolutely worth it considering it led to a significant increase in income and got me situated that I didn’t have to work as hard.

I also think it made me a better student because my priorities were straight. When I was in my late teens and early 20’s women, weed, and alcohol was my purpose and school was like a gig I did when I felt like. When I went back to school it was different. By then work, family, and school were the priority and it showed in my grades.

Managerial accounting no joke. Good luck.
Probably won't be a lot of black people in the program.
Less than five in every class I took.

Go buy some general ledger books.
This helped:
