It doesn't necessarily mean they r changing formation. They are Holding the button to draw defenders down and running towards you with the man Rey control. I love when they do this because again its not realistic and it just opens up the field so you will have unmarked players to pass to. I kill gamers who play this way just when that rush u hold the ball until there 2 nd or 3rd player is attacking and play the ball to ur open unmarked man.

So true, all this can be solved by getting better at passing. Probably not moving the ball fast enough or keeps passing into an area with defenders. Its an art to be able to move the ball up the field, without doing "ping pong" passing. I don't do ping pong passing at all, I usually have a feel where all my players are positioned.

When EA puts out news like that i'm like because, these elements while new to Fifa were in PES 11 and in NBA2K & MLB The show, those things are cool, but I will not notice them in a few weeks time, when Terry runs in to Cahill and the ball falls nicely to Van Persie's feet

I hope they work on ball physics next gen, it would be a lot harder for players to abuse the bugs in the game. They still working animations/player impact engine, which really creates a lot of foolishness. While PES comes with the Player ID system.

exactly adjust, if they move slow, play fast if they play fast high pressure defense move slow. have them adjust to game and throw them off.

The player ID is one feature i feel FIFA has been missing the most. Its so frustrating too because im guilty of always trying to play how the team/player would play in real life. FIFA doesnt accomodate my style the best. I havent played anything but FIFA since the Winning Eleven days though. I just wish Messi felt like Messi with the ball at his feet.

Thanks for the tips. I guess I need to get my stick skills up because when they start swarming me I always pass it a tad too late and get tackled or something.

I tried to move my settings on manual because I noticed the passes don't always go where you told it to go. To say the least, manual is very hard.

I would love to play that way because this is how I hear all the real FIFA heads play, but after about 10 games (vs cpu) I'm not sure if I will ever be good on manual

Manual is overrated, people hype it up because you can't do "ping pong" passing and noobs are not good enough to play on manual. The learning curve for manual is not really high.

Played the Demo, the players move very rigid like the players on FIFA 07 on Xbox 360/PS3, remember when the joints moved like the the sprockets on a Barbie doll. They completely changed the engine in FIFA 08 and this was enough to put FIFA over the top. Because on FIFA 07 you could do a lob shot 10 feet outside the box and it would go in, FIFA 07 was basically an arcade game at that point. They said the broke up EA Canada after creating the new game engine on FIFA 08.

This can be neutralized, just set auto switching to "airball". Now there is always 2 or 3 defenders waiting when they try to "through pass" the ball. Real forwards are way too fast, I used to get killed when I lost possession of the ball and they just push it up field to a running Benzema or Ozil.

I can play Barca, they are not as ridiculous as Real.

Or when on defense he can just control the striker and let the computer defend for him. It's a bytch move but it works. You just have to note when you regain possession and deal with crosses, but the majority of the time the other team doesn't even get in crosses with cpu defense so yeah.

Note: You do this it's not all that fun, plus it makes any defense look like La Grande Inter

Its too funny because I'll get to the back field and all the backs and both midfielders are just standing there.

It really hurts the fun factor for those guys who do that. You can't spend FIFA rankings.

I play mostly with Aston Villa now, so I don't have to see Real. I only use the air ball settings for Real, because I get murdered on the counter attack if I lose possession.
