Got a few rides in so far. Feels good to be back on the streets after the winter season, literally no traffic nowadays.

Old news, picked up a '98 Honda CBR600F3, put Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's on it. Also rocking the Cardo Packtalk Bold JBL communcation system on the Shoei RF1200 with the photochromic self-tinting shield.

How was it learning how to ride one? I'm interested in taking lessons and getting licensed when the lockdown ends.

It's not hard, I learned on an old '72 Honda CB750 like 20yrs ago. It's a balance between the clutch and gas to get going, once you get that, everything else is pretty easy.

When turning you lean into a turn and you look through it because where your eyes go is where you go. Shifting gears is usually 1 down and the rest up. Most patterns are 1-N-2-3-4-5-6th gear.

You have to mindful of your surroundings, use both front and rear brakes (majority of braking power is from the front), and ride defensively.

Wear protective gear to save yourself from accidents. Could be the difference between life and death.

Not to hard, but take the safety courses it’ll help you with the basics, help on insurance, and you can bypass a dmv driving test when getting your m1. Gotta be smart and not to emotional when riding and pay for decent gear.

These older bikes got character, in some years I want to try and get a
Honda nc35 or something like it

They definitely do, you can find some deals on some great older bikes. Co-worker is looking for CBR1100XX Blackbird. That RC45 is real nice, seen one at a motorcycle race 2 years back, 1st one I ever seen on the road.
