That's why I think nigs are better off blending. Juicing, you lose the fiber, and the fiber helps you with feeling full. I had a smoothie a few hours ago with spinach, romaine lettuce, banana, pineapple and frozen fruit. Threw some chia seeds in there too, along with some protein powder. Still got my stomach feeling like :ahh:. May not need to eat until tonight.

Gonna try this tomorrow...my biggest problem is that i start feeling sick, i guess because im not getting enough calories. Saturday after bjj i drank some juice and at first i was like :ehh: but then after about an hour or so my stomach went from  to :to:

I can't believe some of you are going on an all juice diet to get in shape. That is the dumbest possible thing you can do. Learn the basics of nutrition, learn what protein, carbs and fats do for your body and what happens if you don't provide it them.

I'm doing Intermittent Fasting, and one of my main things was "how am I gonna get all those calories in 8 hours?" Sometimes I could eat a chicken salad wrap for "breakfast" (3:00 PM), and feel full off of that. I guess that's a good thing. Way I see it, just eat when you're really hungry.:manny: At least that's what's been working for me.

You Are 100% On Point And Correct With This Statement, BUT I Think There's Nothing Wrong With A Guy Who Wants To Do A 5 Day, 10 Day Whatever Juice Fast To Drop Some Immediate Weight To Clense Them Selves And Get The Ball Rolling

BUT

No One Should Depend On This To Be A Life Saver Or Normal Eating Habit. People Need To Read Up And Be Aware Of The Proper And Healthy Way To Eat If They Wan To MAINTAIN Any Sort Of Healthy Weight.

When I Made This Thread I Wanted A Good Concoction, Preferably For The Morning To Help With My Hate For Eating Certain Veggies, So I Could At Least Get Them In Me. I Didn't Know This Would Turn Into A Juice Diet Thread lol

Yea it's a trip on what I read in here. But I will tell you off the bat on the detriments of doing a 5 day much less a 10 day fast from juice.

If you don't feed your body protein daily not only will your muscles not grow but it will get broken down. A lot of the weight you drop will be muscle and not fat. After 60 hours of a lack of calories your body goes into starvation mode and shifts your metabolism slower. So after you jump back to food again you will gain fat faster. I'm sure there are other side effects but these are the two main ones from doing a fast like this. Also cleanses are real popular right now but I've read articles that there is no evidence it does anything for your health.

In short learn about nutrition basics and set a good lifetime goal instead of some useless shortcut.

So what would be a good happy medium? Juice + protein shakes (or fish, or eggs) for one meal, then juice + oatmeal + peanut butter for another?

Any updates? Keep this thread going.

I recommend this

Juicing:handful Kale, 2 Carrots, 1 lemon, broccoli and 2 apples

Take juice put into a blender with a little calistoga mineral water and your favorite berry blue, straw , etc and enjoy.

I agree, the whole juice fast is kind of excessive imo. I think a fruit/veggie morning juice on an empty stomach and maybe a pre/post workout smoothie along with a well balanced diet is the best way to go. I do notice that I feel 10 times better when I make juice a part of my diet.

Any of yall mess with Kombucha tea or apple cider vinegar? Whole foods and all of the organic markets here sell it for around 3 dollars a bottle. It tastes like :what: but will have you feeling :ehh:
