Usually run about 2 to 3 miles post workout
That sounds like the problem. How much weight have you gained since you didn’t have problems running? If it’s significant, that would be the main reason why. When I gained weight during lockdown, my feet would be in pain just walking after a mile.
Another one is definitely your shoes. It’s vital you have the right ones that can support your feet. That can make the difference between keeping your feet healthy and a long term injury.
Finally, where are you landing when you run? Are you landing ankle first or the balls of your feet () first? You should be doing the latter. That part of your foot should be taking the majority of the impact each time your land. And make sure your posture and head are straight.

How long were you off? You might be like me. I don't get shin splints but if I ride my bike and don't run, my shins don't get sore but my ankles are like "oh....you're back???" Might be sore for 3 days or so. Usually because I'll do too much to soon. Ride my bike 2 and from work for 2 weeks straight in the summer then try to do a 15 mi jog.Any tips for somebody that has ankle fatigue when running? Like the muscle in my ankle and feet get tired. I get the same problem jump roping. Is it shoes? Poor flexibility? Conditioning? I don't recall having this problem when I was less weight
Just ran 20 minutes and had to really push the last 10.
Nice work. With that time you can possibly get a half marathon time under 2 hours.![]()
Meh… I know I can run faster. I wasn’t really
Focusing on speed when I did this run a few days ago. (My 10k time was 56:33).
I really want to run 10k in under 45 minutes within the next few weeks. And eventually do some half marathons.

I'm an outdoor runner and I hate running on a treadmill. Trying to run on at fast pace on a surface that moves will always feel unnatural to me.running everyday is outrageous... recovery is always necessary...
i alternate between a 1mile + and a 2mile+ run several times a week... they both conclude at a park where i got a calisthenics routine of varied pull ups ... elevated push ups, and more direct core work
after being committed to outdoor fitness for years, working out inside feels..... idk... unnatural?
outside i can explode my speed and reduce it at will... on a treadmill i gotta push buttons and stuff... feels less safe lol
let along the sweat factor... i sweat ALOT... in the summer its nothing for me to have dropped a few pounds in sweat after a run... while outside sweating all crazy is whatever ... but being that sweaty in a gym is embarrassing for me... ill do if i got to though lol
