I'm inspired by this breh here

Any frequent runners/joggers on here? How do you prevent injury ? I still want to maintain muscle so I'll be lifting at least 3 days per week. My plan is to run at least 3 miles each day. I've been doing it everyday for the past week and I feel great. My energy and moods are better. I'm also sleeping better.

Yeah.

To prevent injury it's imperative to stretch and strength train, and you have to alternate your hard runs and light runs.

I run for fun but I also do races. I'm already signed up for a couple in April. And I have one in March once they drop the date.

I started doing zwift run too. Mainly because I have all the devices and I've used zwift for riding and zwift run is free so I was like :manny:

I started running as a hobby after Covid with everything being shut down and it then turned into a life style. Stretch, eat, and make sure you still hit the gym. I workout 4x-5x a week on top of training Muay Thai and running. I can confidently say I maintain my muscular physique but it takes some effort. Women definitely admire the body. Congratulations taking a step to a more positive lifestyle mentally and physically.

That's amazing breh. Gotta check out zswift. By hard and light runs I'm assuming the difference you're going by is distance?

I was but got injured.
Was doing 1.5-2 miles on days I lifted and 3-4 miles on days I didn't
I started cold turkey though so I wonder if it was just too much for my legs, will slowly ramp up after i feel better. in the meantime just walking for the durations I was running before
Best of luck. May have been too much at once. I ran for the first time in months and my toe has been killing me since.

Was running 3 times a week twice doing mostly hiit for like 25:30 mins.
Other day would ran like 6.21 miles tryna beat my record of 45 mins. Started running more since covid so now I got my shyt lit now running wise.

Sprained my ankle In august :beli: playing basketball.

Tried running before it got too cold like but it didn’t work out cuz I probably re aggravated it :dead: so took a break and just used the spin bike
Still recovering but now there’s snow all over and its cold
fukk that shyt
So for Cardio I do spin bike and do skip rope before on two days so I can get my ankle strengthened back. Third day just bike for like 45-50 mins trying to reach a zone 4-5 heart rate zone
Also use balance board on my lifting days to help.

But injured or not fukk that shyt of running in the cold :mjlol:
I’ll be back to running once this bytch ass winter is gone :demonic:

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while especially now that I’m lifting regularly again. I just can’t. Cardio is so boring and tedious to me I do not enjoy it. I’d rather play ball but it’s hard to do that 5 days out the week.

Need to just force myself to do it :mjcry:

You could just walk for 20-30 minutes and that’s good enough tbh

Try to get 9 miles a day average, walking and running, mostly walking. I don't drive, so forces me to walk way more.

Try to get three maybe 5 as a stretch goal every morning before coffee. And that makes it way easier.

I think for me, constant walking is so much easier, than intense gym workouts, I have a gym, but it's so uninspiring inside, it's like a creative dead zone. Walking takes me out of myself more.
