i rescued my dog from the Animal Rescue League in Homewood in PGH. cost was $80. i am very lucky to live in an apartment building that allows dogs. :dog: was abandoned in wilkinsburg by someone who most likely bred him for fighting. he could never do it.. too sweet and loveable, probably why i think he either escaped or his owner tossed him in the streetsit hurts me just to think about it.
i remember when we went to the shelter me and my girl were not even looking for a pit. we didn't feel like dealing with the bad rap. we were looking for a rottweiler or something similar. but we kept passing by this little baby blue boy with bleeding fukked up nails, infection, no bark because he'd lost his voice, skinny as could be. and every time we passed by him he would look at usopportunities for :dog: and they say things like "you don't get blue from the pound" and also discuss how hard Bubba is. he's come a long way. i would never get another breed of dog now. we're looking for a house with a yard so he can have a brother or sister.

My dad has a white/black one. I hope to adopt one in the near future. Pitbulls are so cute and lovable. Sad how people abuse them and make them fight. Disgusting.

Adopted one in 2005. AMAZING dog. She is 11 now and still behaves like a puppy.. Just got more silver in her face now. Never had a single problem with her. She never got along with other dogs in her life though. But with people she is perfect. Edit: Thought this was a new thread.

I know 3 Rottweiler owners (my Auntie, and 2 co-workers,) and countless pit bull owners. 2 of the 3 Rottweiler owners have been bit and sent to hospital by their own pet Rottweilers. One was an abused Rottweiler they adopted, and the other bit it's owner because they used a shock collar on it while the owners face was next to it. So i don't even blame the dogs, but still. I am comfortable with all pit bulls i meet, but Rottweilers still have me a lil shook. Doesn't help their like 2x the size of most purebred APBT's.
