Breh, we looked terrible today. Adams at centre :stopitslime:

We had nothing all game. No platform, no go-forward, just nothing. It was remarkable that we were only 10 - 0 down at the half. Having had to make over 100 tackles in that half was also always gonna leave us fukked in the second.

It was pretty dire, but could’ve been an whole lot worse. This Ireland side would’ve been a good measure for us if we had a fully fit, or even close to, squad. We had no chance with all of the injuries, and being at the Aviva.

Pretty sobering start to the tournament, and I agree completely that Adam’s at centre was just fukking dumb. He was not great.

Regions in the doldrums, and now national side following suit. Gonna be a long couple of months.

Yeah we need to show something against Scotland next week! We have nothing at the breakdown which is a huge issue.

True dat - felt a long way from Faletau, Navidi, Tipuric, etc.

I like all three that played, amd think that Elllis & Taine will be good players for Wales for a long time, but the Scotland back row is really fukking good, so it might be a long day at the break-down & around the fringes.

We have a great record against them at The Millennium, but I'm not sure that it will continue after this weekend. Certainly, if we play like we did against Ireland then we're double fukked.

He needs to switch some things up. Adams back to the wing or bench, and hopefully we get some centres back for the next game. Would be nice to have Anscombe back for creative 10 play

The problem is that it is very difficult to do anything if your forwards can’t establish any sort of platform. If your scrum-half is always on the back foot because your pack is going backward at 100 miles per hour then everything else becomes somewhat academic.

You’re then relying on magic from the backs, so maybe Anscome is a better option than Dan. I am, however, a massive fan of Dan Biggar. Have watched him for years, back when he was coming through at Swansea & Ospreys. He’s from the same little part of Swansea as my grandparents.

I definitely agree with you that Adam’s has to be moved back to the wing, or at least can’t be selected in the centres. Pivac’s defence of him was pretty hollow, considering we all have eyes.

I kinda hope that last weekend was just a blip, but I’m not hopeful for this campaign. It might prove useful as a way to blood some new players in the international arena, though, as we need more youth coming through at international level.

I do like Biggar, he is usually solid, we dont lose games because of him that's for sure. Anscome is just another good option to have.

The Backs arent getting any ball I agree, the forwards may get bullied throughout the six nations at this rate
