anyone who rewatched that 2nd fight more than once clearly has too much time on their hands or has trouble sleeping at night. so much fukking struggle :wow..and that shyt was on PPV ..so glad I streamed that shyt

The only time that 2nd fight ever gets mentioned is when insecure Hopkins stans bring that shyt up and try to act like it's a one up on Roy.
I mean if a nikka wanna rate Hopkins over Roy, by all means go ahead. Everybody has a right to their opinion, but nobody should ever mention that fight like it's some sort of feather in Bernard's cap. shyt is just fukking pathetic. That's like praising Holmes because he has a win over Ali.

I mean there's a reason why people consider R.Marquez/Vasquez as one of the greatest trilogies ever even though they fought 4 times. Nobody wants to remember the garbage ass 4th fight where Vasquez (the better fighter) was shot to shyt and would have prolly gotten KO'ed by one of the valet guys working the parking lot that night.

Man, I remember that night full well. Most cats I knew were watching the Lakers-Spurs play-off game, but since I was a major Wolves fan at the time I wasn't checking for that.

Initially that knock out shocked me because it was almost out of nowhere, but there was something in the air that also had me feeling Roy was going to have a tough night.

That shot they had of him talking to his trainer in the locker room afterward though...that's when the it hit me.

Tarver came at the right time in his career, but he also had...

Deceptive speed (he could throw pity pat shyt and lull you in and throw a hard shot when you don't expect it, Manny does this too)
Height
Reach
Defense

and above all he just plain got under Roy's skin.
