Anthony Richardson has one of the highest ceilings we've ever seen for a QB

He played 16 games in college and 8 so far in the NFL.

The problem right now is his health. He's not getting enough reps to work through the accuracy issues.
If he cant learn to protect himself, all that other stuff is moot. Slide, slide and slide some more.

Is he healthy? I’m not sure he gains anything sitting behind Flacco. He needs reps, as many as possible. He doesn’t look good but there’s really no other option but to roll with him and hope he takes a leap next season. Josh Allen was solid by year 2 but he didn’t take a leap until year 3.

Comparing McNabb to AR is crazy cuz once McNabb got hurt he completely stopped scrambling. He also used to throw at his receivers feet, which AR doesn’t ever do. That comparison flat out doesn’t work. Also fukking Kyle Boller? :laff: dude was a complete scrub

Well on his part
When he got hurt on the tackle by Minkah he was getting down. It was just awkward looking

Plus the colts did his no favors. He got shaken up earlier that game vs the steelers and idk if it was AR or colts play call but they still were running him

You make it sound so simple and easy. Fix his inaccuracy. The dude wasnt good in college. MVP in waiting? He hasnt even had a stretch of good games, yet. There have been several QBs who had rocket launcher for arms and ran 4.3-4.6's.
Michael Bishop
Andre Ware
Tavaris Jackson(RIP)
Quincy Carter
Aaron Brooks
Akili Smith
EJ Manuel
Kordell Stewart
Terrelle Pryor
Kyle Boller etc.
The NFL landscape is littered with guys who had elite arm strength and athletic ability who disappointed or flamed out

Is it processing the game slower thats causing him to miss throws?
Yes. One of the most important skills for a QB is anticipation. The best QBs are slinging the rock to a spot between coverage. If you’re waiting for a guy to open up you’re too late already, and you’re slowing down the offense as a whole. That’s not a AR problem, that’s a young QB in general problem. The NFL speed is so much faster than college, it takes guys years to acclimate.

The other thing is his touch is abysmal. Every throw doesn’t need to be on a frozen rope. The offense under Flacco looks so much better which is kind of expected given his experience, but Flacco can make every throw and isn’t taking off quickly at the first sign of trouble.

He has the ideal body and athleticism but he plays like a mental midget and has no feel for the game. Athleticism for a QB isn't as important as the mental and the fundamental element. A perfect marriage of both is incredible, but he has a lot of work to do before he can get there.

I think I saw that he was a redshirt sophomore and it shows, he needed more time in college, and a school like Florida is actually a horrible school to develop at, so everything seems like it was mismanaged in terms of his development at his position.

AR15 was really good in college at evading pressure in college as well as his very limited sample size in the NFL. He also looks to throw the ball down the field rather than tucking the ball and running. His pocket awareness makes me hopeful that he can clean up his warts - most notably the short pass. He throws everything like a rocket.

As for him spending more time in college, I think more exposure to Billy Napier is the last thing he needed :skip:

Im comparing Boller to Richardson, pre draft. How they shot up the draft boards due to workouts and not excellence on film. Stop intentionally misconstruing my words. And for all we know, Richardson coould be just a big a bust as Boller is/was.
