I wholeheartedly disagree with the bold breh...
Joshua is not a pressure fighter and has no inside game whatsoever...Pressing Wilder would also dramatically increase the likelihood of Joshua walking into that right hand and getting KTFO...Awful strategy IMO for a chinny man with no upper body movement who does not slip punches...
We all shyt on Wilder for being a fundamental mess and rightfully so but many dismiss the fact his wildness is a contributing factor in his success...It's his uncanny ability to throw that right hand from awkward unconventional angles with power that makes him so dangerous...Yes he loads it up most of the time and tips you off but watch the first Ortiz KD...Notice how he hits the canvas on one knee stunned by what happened...He NEVER saw the right hand because he wasn't expecting it...Same with Fury in the 12th...NEVER saw the right hand, literally walked right into it...
The odds favorite should be Joshua because he's the better boxer thus has the better chance of catching Wilder before Wilder catches him but this is boxing...This fight reminds me soo much of Pacquiao Vs Morales...Everyone thought Morales, a technical master class boxer was going to destroy this little wild fundamentally sloppy asian dude with a big left hand who got lucky against MAB...Myself included BTW and we all found out the better boxer isn't always the better fighter in this sport...
Morales beat Pac though or which one of their fights you are talking about?
Joshua was more laid back on his last 2-3 fights, boxed more than before but prior to that he was an aggressive pressure fighter and I think if the strategy would demand it he could switch back to being that.
I don't say he should rush in there head first but he can definitely put some intelligent pressure on Wilder, make him react then counter the counter. He is the much better counter-puncher imo and I disagree with him not having an inside game. I think he is very good on the inside if his opponent is similar height or taller than him, but can struggle if the opponent is shorter. From my personal experience I also always found it harder to fight on the inside or body spar with dudes smaller than me than with dudes who are taller although I obviously didn't do this on the level as these guys. Add that Wilder isn't a guy who is similar height and weight as him but only similar height, he would get ragdolled on the inside/in the pocket.
Also Wilder isn't a kind of guy who just turns your lights out in round 1, he only did that with shytty opponents so far like Stiverne on the rematch or all the cans he beat on the way up to the WBC belt. Other than Stiverne he only ended 1 fight in the first half of the fight during his championship run, it was Washington. He took everyone else to late rounds like 9-10-11. I doN't say he can't counter cause his Szpilka counter KO was nice for example but he isn't the type who starts to pick up on your rhythm immediately and start to punish your tries either. He needs time to get into his groove, usually he isn't a fast starter. Stiverne 2 was kind of an exception and that was probably because Stiverne was shot to shyt.
