The Clippers, Blazers and Nuggets can all put together extremely competitive packages to what's being supposedly offered by LA

Clippers start at SGA + Harris + Multiple Picks/ Swaps and most important it gives them AD to pair with KD or Kawhi in the summer.... If they waited for this deal in June they couldn't do it because of Tobias' contract

Denever can start at Murray + Porter Jr + Picks + Milsap Expiring for AD and Holiday

Obviously Portland would start with CJ and etc etc

Kristaps aint getting traded, and if he is he definitely won't be coupled with this year's pick fukk that. That would be shades of the Melo trade all over again. shyt I bet AD would give the thumbs down to any trade involving Kristaps too, if he wants to come to NY then its likely KP is a big reason why. KP is the type of player anybody would love to play with.

the knicks are as bad as you can get breh. they may not be able to keep KP at the end of the day, if he doesnt want to be there. if he does, he eats in to that $44 mil and he isnt no where near the player that AD is. big risk. do the knicks want to mortgage the team on KP coming off injury?

It still makes no sense to swap KP for AD if your concern is KP wanting to stay + looking the same after an injury (Knicks have been intentionally sitting him out this season FYI). You're still paying for AD's max this season and won't have any room to sign any good FAs to build a championship team. In that instance, AD has no reason to stay in New York. You'd risk having AD for half a year all the while losing KP (who has shown no indication that he wants to leave and is only about to be on his 2nd contract with no pressure to win a championship yet)

The knicks would almost certainly send back Hardaway if they include KP in an AD deal just for salary matching purposes .... Including him and stretching Lee would give the knicks upwards of 55-60 million to use in free agency... Thats plenty of space to add high end talent around AD

there were others too that said no way KP would be up for trade.

If that trade goes down, yes, this year it would be AD and Bron + trash. next year though, they would have alot of cap room to fill out the roster with a kemba walker level type player + ring chasers. Otherwise, Lakers will be wasting another year of lebron's prime because most likely, they're NOT getting a tier 1 player after this off season (kahwi or durant).

for some reason people think BI has reached his ceiling. one of the dumbest hot takes out there. Tatum was more NBA ready and he doesnt have to handle the ball like BI. in a few years I think BI may be better. him and Giannis were about the same age coming in the league. look at Giannis body and production through his 3rd year. look at BI. once his body transforms like Giannis did, he will be 20% better off that alone, not to mention his skill development. the Laker pieces are about as good as you will get unless its a guarantee Ainge is getting up off of Tatum and Brown too.

its important to not just look at how much better the Lakers will be but how much weakened other teams will be. really the only team that puts fear in hearts is GSW and KD and Boogie can be somewhere else next year and Iggy is on the downside. Then in the offseason the Lakers are the team FAs take pay cuts to join and win rings

They still have the buyout market where supplemental guys like Wesley Mathews, Lin, Ariza, Kanter etc etc may become available
