Agreed, but I do feel like if you keep Ingram or D'lo and maybe trade Kuzma instead for AD you're still in the playoffs right now and still in contention for another chip.
Obviously keeping Ingram would have helped long term. However, I think the Pels were smart enough to realize it was Zo who made Kuz.

In hindsight, you trade Kuz as well and keep the 1st round pick. Deandre Hunter or Garland (then you move Danny Green for another SG instead of Schroder) would have been best.

I will say if I knew for sure they were going into the bubble (helps young players), had the #1 seed, were going to avoid the Clippers, Bucks, Sixers..

I actually think they could have won the title with BI, Zo, etc in ADs place and then you could sign AD in free agency. Again it would have took all those scenarios to happen for them to win a championship with a core that young though.

The trade wouldn't have happened without Ingram. First off, NO wanted Ingram, not Kuz. Second, even if that didn't matter, Ingram's salary was necessary to make the numbers work; Kuz didn't make enough.

I don't know why people keep saying this silly shyt like the Lakers chose Kuzma over Ingram when that wasn't the case. There was no way they could keep Ingram and get AD.
