Man GTFO with that "advanced metric" shyt :russ:
But yall be using those advance metric to prop up that clown show in LA.. :sas2:

Throw your yall young dudes under the bus all season, but as soon as trade hype for a Superstar gets going . Yall switching gears and gasing up these losers with meh efficiency, injuries, and baggage.

Between a year 1 rookie that is hometown protégé with loads of potential and bunch year 2-3 misfits that keep stumbling over themselves at the end of their contract. They are gonna leave anyway. So, who are you fooling?

The way I look at it.

Barrett on rookie deal for 5 years
Robinson for 3 more years on rookie deal
Dallas future picks/ Knick future picks
Bench filler

Is simply a better long term plan to build around Zion organically.

Vs

1-2 years Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma or Hart
4th overall for 5 years

It's what you're trying to build and how you want to build.

Knick = Long term plan in mind and conservative
Laker = High Risk High Reward with short term in mind.

Sometes it's not the player, but the method you want to build a team. Building through the draft just a better option than the Lakers. The top 4 teams in conference finals where built on building through the draft.

You may hate it all you want, but choosing Robinson over Ball/Kuzma/Ingram is more about the bigger picture. It also helps that he shyts on their stats as a rookie. Our biggest mistake with AD was never getting suitable help at the 5 to keep him happy. So, I would like to target a 5 to develop with Zion. Robinson is great prospect to develop and is the youngest, cheapest, and longest contract of the bunch. I would value Tatum over him every day of the week.

Zion needs a 5 who can space the floor. He needs a Dedmon/Lopez type
Those dudes are gonna be older than dirt by the time Zion develops. Robinson is a great option to develop with Gentry developing his offensive game.

I like MItch's upside, but if Boston is still going to make an offer I'd much rather take their deal and give short term deals to a guy like Brook Lopez as I acquire young center talent in the future

Having a guy like Lopez/Dedmon now would help Zion's development a lot too

Am I the only one who thinks that Anthony Davis actually doesn't and never wanted to be traded? That Rich and Bron filled his head up with dreams of grandeur and now that the trade didn't happen AD is just like whatever...

Only cacs and Pelicans fans think that. AD is a grown ass man. Y'all gotta stop with this Rich Paul and Bron forcing him to do stuff he dont want to.

By forcing himself to a franchise that's missed the playoffs 6 years straight, with the worst overall winning percentage in the whole damn league during that timeframe??:mjlol:
Better than playing for a shyt hole franchise that nobody gives two fukks about and is on the brink of losing yet ANOTHER marquee superstar because of their organizational incompetence :mjlol:

If the Lakers do give up that same reported trade deadline package for AD it's going to be interesting to see how they work out the rest of that roster.... I think they need to try to keep at least Kuzma or Hart in any deal due to their low salary thresholds but damn that roster is going to be bare bones with that trade... Maybe they can make it a three team deal and get some pieces back from another team but if you do make that move you damn near gotta go target some value guys with that remaining 25 or so million in cap space they'd have... They'd need a PG a C a defensive wing a bench...thats a lot to try to get with just 25 million and the MMLE :francis:

The problem is that AD never once said anything about leaving until Rich Paul was his agent...

And then the team he wants to play for is the Lakers who are one of the few teams that are actually worse than the pelicans every year...

AD going to cost himself 80 million to play in LA, yeah he’s stupid

And a big man is not making that money up in a bigger market, he’s got zero personality
He's already doing Mobil ads. I'm sure he can get more endorsements in LA
