But yall be using those advance metric to prop up that clown show in LA..Man GTFO with that "advanced metric" shyt
Throw your yall young dudes under the bus all season, but as soon as trade hype for a Superstar gets going . Yall switching gears and gasing up these losers with meh efficiency, injuries, and baggage.
Between a year 1 rookie that is hometown protégé with loads of potential and bunch year 2-3 misfits that keep stumbling over themselves at the end of their contract. They are gonna leave anyway. So, who are you fooling?
The way I look at it.
Barrett on rookie deal for 5 years
Robinson for 3 more years on rookie deal
Dallas future picks/ Knick future picks
Bench filler
Is simply a better long term plan to build around Zion organically.
Vs
1-2 years Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma or Hart
4th overall for 5 years
It's what you're trying to build and how you want to build.
Knick = Long term plan in mind and conservative
Laker = High Risk High Reward with short term in mind.
Sometes it's not the player, but the method you want to build a team. Building through the draft just a better option than the Lakers. The top 4 teams in conference finals where built on building through the draft.
You may hate it all you want, but choosing Robinson over Ball/Kuzma/Ingram is more about the bigger picture. It also helps that he shyts on their stats as a rookie. Our biggest mistake with AD was never getting suitable help at the 5 to keep him happy. So, I would like to target a 5 to develop with Zion. Robinson is great prospect to develop and is the youngest, cheapest, and longest contract of the bunch. I would value Tatum over him every day of the week.
