True, they haven't won shyt, chances are good they will continue to not win shyt. I ain't here to cape for either team, I'm looking at it from the perspective of a decision maker in NO. Why would I want to make that trade? Why is it that the Lakers feel better off keeping one player instead of this core of young players with all this potential? This foresight thing works both ways.
Often A bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush of course (regarding young potential vs proven veterans) ...which is why the Lakers especially pressured to win with Lebron would make a deal like this

But I agree with you..... I think this is how NO is thinking too.... For their sake they better hope that they are evaluating these young players correctly or else they may be looking mighty foolish in 3 years :francis:

Trading for Lonzo isn’t helping them
On paper it's exactly what we need to fix our biggest issue. Obviously ownership has to consider the baggage, especially with Lavar doing that dumb interview this morning on the local radio station. Might scare the Suns off, which is odd if Lonzo actually wants to play here.

Id be terrified of lonzo on suns tbh. Ayton/Booker will be getting fed easy baskets
