Bron wanted Rondo there and he would like to keep him I am sure. What really fukked up the Pelicans team last year? The loss of Rondo. You dont think the Lakers signed Rondo with the thought they could send him right back to N.O.? Rondo was the last straw for AD and the Lakers knew this. So he is a pawn. If the Pels arent trying to blow it up and get rid of Jrue, they definitely would want Rondo back because his presence really elevated Jrue's game.
Pels just pissed because Bron and the Lakers been thinking steps ahead of them from that Cavs trade to snatching up Rondo. its just an offer to see if they would bite because Lakers dont want to gut roster if they dont have to. I think the Pels are undervaluing players at this point. They could be a better team without AD if you get the right fit of players in there with Jrue and some of the others they have there now. People think because you lose a star player you wont be as good, thats not true. Stop worrying about getting exact value for a player and worry about getting as many good players in as you can get. People thought Jazz would be trash if they lost Hayward, and they ended up being better while he hasnt had an impact on improving Boston yet.
Pels aint outsmarting anyone here and about to fukk up and get much less for AD than they should.

Why petty though? Pels don't have to trade him there. What if they get a better offer from the Raptors, Boston, Spurs, Philly or Portland. I get the fact that this shot has gotten old already but make the best decision for the team. Because regardless where you trade him. He will be in LA in 2020

Basically the Pelicans will end up with last seasons Lakers plus Jrue. There is no possible way that team is better than the current Pelicans, and that’s saying a lot because the Pelicans suck right now. There is a reason everyone outside of the Lakers and their fans think that deal is garbage.
If you are going to deal him for trash then it makes no sense to send him to LA. Send him to a team that will rent him for a season.
