:mjlol:If I'm the Pelicans, why would I give a fukk about that.

Huh? The Pelicans have expressed interest in all of those guys. It's the Laker fans who are talking about keeping Ball and Ingram out of the deal.

Bro you get the stars and worry about that other shyt later lol.... You do that and vets will be lining up to come ring chase for cheap in Los Angeles for the Lakers.... With Lebron AD and Star X..... Cmon my G

In fact LeBron did the exact same stragey in Miami with the Heat

Depends.... Those first round picks could be quite valuable in regards to flipping them later down the road if need be..... It's all just options bruh.... They have different ways they can maneuver is the only point in making

You're correct that that's what they did in Miami, and what happened?

Year 1: Massive holes in the lineup (no point guard, no center, no shooting) cost them a title.
Year 2: Lineup is still thin, then only survive against a not-that-strong Boston lineup when LeBron goes super saiyon in Game 6. Against any ultra-elite team (like Spurs 2013/2014) they would have lost.
Year 3: They finally have a "complete" lineup, even though they're still relying on suspect pieces like Chalmers/Cole as their shooting guard duo and the resurrected body of Chris Anderson as their only real center. The best team they put together.
Year 4: Their pieces begin to age out, they don't have enough anymore.

The same thing is in danger of happening this time around. If you play games like, "Let's just get three players and figure out the rest later", then that's a recipe for disaster. Having a complete lineup with no holes in it is the #1 factor, having the right amount of "stars" should be secondary. Look at Golden State 2015, San Antonio 2014, Dallas 2011, Los Angeles 2009 and 2010, etc.

:patrice:I guess you could switch Ingraham with hart and the deal would still be beneficial for both parties but I can't see what the Pelicans would want with Lonzo.
