I doubt it. The owners are about to get petty. I think he finishes his contract in NO
They still need to run the business. AD could come up with plenty of reasons to sit out, and tank any potential trades by outright saying he won't resign.

But why ? NO isn’t a huge FA destination in the first place now losing the super star they drafted sets them back immensely they can get a million picks and players but never ever get someone as good as AD. My issue with this whole scenario is not that he asked for a trade it’s the timing and how it looks like Bron is behind this. The sentiment was he gave them notice so they won’t lose him for nothing but he’s also tryingThey could do that, and then get nothing. And a bad rep among the players. They need to consider their future. Trade him now so he can get his big contract. Maintain some kind of good rep in the league.
I agree, but when players try to force a trade to a certain team it never seems to work. The team gets petty and just refuses to move the player even if there's a better deal to be had.Nah he just killing the pelicans market to trade him cause they being petty bytches listening to Pop saying don’t trade with the lakers.
I mean if the Pels don’t get anything outta this trade the franchise will probably be sold.

Kuzma, Hart, Zubac and two 1st rounders for AD. Everyone wins.
Good let him walk for nothing.... That would perfectly capture the moronic ownership of the pelicans in a nutshellI doubt it. The owners are about to get petty. I think he finishes his contract in NO
They don't have to get a free agent they could package those two in a trade plus use their cap room to make up the difference for another high end playerExcept that the Lakers would be down to just $15-20 million in cap space for next summer.
If they want to have a chance at any decent free agent they're gonna have to include Ball/Ingram in the trade to free up enough space.

Not really true... In the summer time there will be plenty of teams who could absorb those two contracts directly into their cap without sending the Lakers any money back...just future draft picks..... Not the most ideal way to handle things but certainly plausibleThat's true, but unless they do that in the next couple days then that player isn't going to be Kawhi, Klay, KD, Middleton, Kyrie, Cousins, or Kemba as they won't be tradeable. There aren't too many really good options left that will be under contract AND on the trading block....maybe Dame?

Theres so many ways to play with the salary cap bruh... Takes a little creativity sometimes but that's why francishe pay these cap dudes to handle those logistics
