All the Attitude Era guys got over during a more realistic bloody gritty time
WWE is a corporate clean cut brand pushed primarily for kids and modern age comic-con nerds.
Look at their crowds. It's not meant for us anymore.
Only reason they want Austin is because they have 2 nights of a Mania to fill. If it were one night, I'm sure they're perfectly fine showcasing a ppv lineup like this...

Exactly, 2.0 is literally creating people to take over for the next 10-15 years. The Ascension was never going to work, because they looked like a great value Demolition when they came to the main roster. The OC basically turned everyone off to them during their Elite angle in AEW. New Day wasn't affected at all by getting from Stone Cold. Finally Orton has been in the main event scene since 2005, so I don't know why he was brought into the discussion.one minute its wwe needs to develop new stars the next minute its wwe is horrible for rebranding nxt into a place to develop new stars, make your minds up already

Surely the last 5 or 6 years of WWE should make people realize that looking like a star in NXT doesn't automatically translate to looking like a star on Raw/SD and in Vince's eyes. Even the talent they initially push hard from NXT, they find a way to undercut them and kill all their momentum in due time.
Naw, that started after Lesnar left.
There was hella stars when the rock and Austin were on top.
Imagine Bruno Sammartino coming through during RAW in the late 90s and bearhugging Stone Cold until he passed out

Not being revisionist because that was bullshyt, but OP is acting like they haven't created any new stars. OP used bad examples when he should've just posted how badly they mismanaged Lashley in 07.
Never said they didn't and if you look at my post history Ive always acknowledged the WWE when they do things right(Even in the OP where I mentioned the Dudleys).. I said that this was apart of the problem to why alot of talent struggle to be taken seriously as draws today.
