This right here is a reflection of the true problem for the past 15 years.. When you have Older talent coming in and beating the dog shyt outta the new one instead of giving them the rub and putting them over as the next era of lions.

I can understand nostalgia but shyt you had 3 50 year old men beating Russev, Barret, Sheamus, Del Rio, and the New Day.. 3 old men beat down 2 of their newest factions

Hoegan could barely fukking walk and he beat a younger, faster, prime Randy Orton

Old ass DX and NWO running out AJ and O.C.

DX, APA, and NWO killing the Ascension

The only ones that actually did it right was the Dudleys when they put The Club over:

that ain't his point, his point is what is the point of developing new talent when all they gonna do is have these cats from previous eras come in and bury the new talent

it remains to be seen what'll happen with this new crop of NXT 2.0 talent but the track record is undeniable :manny:

either way with the exception of orton hogan those are horrible examples.. yall wanted THE ASCENSION to come out on top over 3 of the greatest teams of all time simply because theyre younger like foh

yall are complaining about legends coming back and beating up midcarders most of whom are usually heels in a segment made to pop the crowd on a raw reunion or anniversary show.. none of them came in and beat roman or seth or drew, the actual top stars

seth beat sting, roman is about to beat goldberg, braun beat goldberg, drew beat goldberg, a young brock destroyed hogan a few years before that orton match

mid-carders that could’ve been solid main-eventers had they not been buried :manny:

and them examples you named were all E stars going over former WCW talent, it’s levels to it

i will say though that what they did for Daniel Bryan at WM30 is a perfect example of something that a lot of new stars could benefit from cause dude was a made man after that :wow:

Naw you are 100% on point. The WWE has relied on old stars to sale the rumble and mania, that is just good business. But they do not and I repeat do not have them beat future stars, have have them beat mid card heels. Those dudes were never going to main event mania.

A better example of what OP was trying to say is they don’t build guys up enough to even legitimately be expected to beat guys like Goldberg. The shytty promos, the 50/50 booking, the forced elementary level humor and 99 other things is why they haven’t created new stars. It has nothing to do with Brock or Goldberg. I will say Goldberg beating the fiend was a huge mistake.

Bryan forced their hand. He was too over to deny.

If they had their way he would stayed upper mid card and Sheamus would be an all time main eventer :heh:
